I found County Clare on here and booked based on reviews. The online booking was easy and I requested a quiet room for the overnight, explaining that this was a romantic, get out of town, weekend. They responded and gave me a suite on the 3rd floor at the end of the hallway. The room was PERFECT. It was old... More

Stayed for the weekend at the County Clare. King Room. Spacious with nice sofa & chairs. Huge bathroom with whirlpool tub (didn't use it). Guinness & Kilkenny (along with about 10 others) on tap. Great little Pub. Great Restaurant with Irish fare. Nice to sit by the fire & have a pint.

When in the Cream City, go to the County Clare. Wonderful Irish atmosphere and craic, best Guinness in the city. A stone's throw from the lake and a park. Parking lot in the back fills up quickly on weekends.

What an awesome small hotel. I stayed here for a night before going to the Milwaukee Hilton Downtown, and this was *so* much better. It is small and has an intimate feel, and it is not the Ritz, but my room (3rd floor) was large and very charming, with an extremely comfortable bed, and both a large bath and a... More

I have stayed at the County Clare twice and very much enjoyed each visit. The rooms are comfy but not fussy. The food is very good and the atmosphere is quintessentially Irish. The hotel books up pretty far in advance on the weekends, so plan accordingly. Parking is free, which is a bonus for a downtown hotel. There is a... More

We had a great get away to celebrate our anniversary. The room was nicely decorated and very clean. Brunch the next morning was delicious and a great bargain with our room. We would definitely come back. We highly recommended the Country Clare.
