This is my 5th or 6th time staying here in the last 8 years and things have improved. The hotel is clean, the price is reasonable, the rooms are up to date (I recommend asking for a room on the 3rd floor where you’ll have a nice loft ceiling, making the room feel even more spacious), and they have expanded their pool area.
The water park consists of 4 areas, an indoor/outdoor pool that is 3-3’6” deep with basketball hoops, a splash pad area that is 4”-1’6” deep with different water features, 2 slides that you need to be at least 48” tall for and an amazing, huge indoor/outdoor hot tub. They also have concessions available that are, for a hotel and water park, reasonably priced, but the hours are hit or miss.
Typically, they have breakfast every morning from 6-10am that includes make your own waffles, but right now the choices are a little limited due to Covid. The do have coffee available 24/7 though in the breakfast area.
Their in house restaurant, The Pub, is reasonable and food is good. They have excellent pizzas there.
My only complaint is that they are not cleaning rooms during your stay, even with staying for 4 nights! When we need towels or other items, you have to go to the front desk and ask for them and garbage just piles up. One thing I enjoy about hotel stays is having my bed made up for me and when you’re traveling with kids, no matter how hard you try, the room really needs a little touch up...at least every other day. It seems to be a way for them to cut costs and blame it on Covid. The water park hours are also shortened and they aren’t doing any cleaning of hard surfaces throughout the day as recommended for pools and that I’ve seen at every other pool this summer.
But, I still give them 5 stars for making the effort to have all areas of the hotel open for guests.
Added picture of sign they have on elevator due to absurdity of the idea that families are going to use it one person at a time.
The room was spacious, and clean. I had a great stay and will be back again!
