Beware - do not stay here! Their office closes at 10 pm! After having Christmas dinner with my family I went on my trip to New Glarus and stayed at this horrible shack, the Swiss Aire motel. First of all I had trouble finding it - there was no lit sign (it was late at night around 2:50 am). The...

We visit New Glarus once a year in the fall. Not only to see the beautiful countryside, or spend time in the quaint town of New Glarus, but also to drink the beer at New Glarus brewing. On our previous trips we have stayed in B & B or vacation rental type places. Let's just say they haven't been stellar....

I'm torn by whether to leave a 2 or 3 for my review. In fairness, here are the disclaimers. The week we were there it was over 90 degrees with horrible humidity. So I'm not blaming them for the room feeling a bit damp and musty or the air conditioner struggling to keep up. I also love New Glarus. It's...

Our bathroom needed some tiles fixed and a new TV (reception not great) but it was VERY clean, cozy and the owners were very helpful, kind and attentive! Other reviews said towels were dingy... Ours were NOT dingy, just cream colored as are bed linens and coordinate with brown and cream bedspreads. Bed linens super soft . Highly recommend for...

We selected Swiss Aire based on the recommendation of friends. It's not a modern hotel, but a quaint family owned operation. The staff were friendly and the fridge was a great asset. Breakfast was not offered on the morning we stayed. We did appreciate the ice machine to fill our cooler!

The staff was friendly and the rooms were nice and quiet. Overall, I had a great experience. They have a nice area where you can sit outside and enjoy the evening. Stop by the office for a selection of local beer and wine (at a very good rate) to make your evening even more enjoyable. The rooms were clean and...

We stayed this past Friday and Saturday night. While our stay last year was quite pleasant, our recent experience was not the same. Last year, we had a refrigerator in our room which we used to store specially purchased food and drink for our trip. Although the website still lists a refrigerator as an amenity, our room had no refrigerator....

There are limited options in New Glarus: a couple of older 'Hotels', some 'Inns' and B&B's... and this. We booked this place. Room was adequate (the beds make a disconcerting squeaking sound when you get in or sit on them...?). Rooms are all lined up facing the highway (except for a small annex in back), but noise didn't bother us....

Gentleman at desk not overly welcoming; needs some updating; price probably ok for tourist season; well located; outdoor entrance; pleasant looking from outside; nice patio for sitting; parking at your front door.

Although the location is convenient, overall we would not stay there again. The bathroom sink was almost completely plugged, they forgot to vacuum our room and replace the towels, and got our reservation wrong. It's fairly dirty and smells weird. Skip this motel and stay somewhere else.
