I rate this hotel five stars because it sits in a very tiny town that is 'theme based' as a "Swiss " experience. I have read several reviews and they are pretty consistent in the fact that the hotel is very clean. Indeed that is fact! Some complain about the furniture. Just a plain silly thing to report negatively on...

My husband and I were sorely in need of a weekend getaway and finally had a free weekend to enjoy. We had been given a gift certificate for the Chalet Landhaus, so we called them at the last minute and were lucky to get a room for that night. Being an early December weekend, with no festivals in New Glarus...

Nice hotel, the rooms are very outdated and need to be fixed up. People are friendly, food is great. Great place to stay in the summer. Lots of cycling paths. Wish the beds covers were duvets, which is so common in Switzerland. Other than that, great little place to stay for a night or two.

Last week, I stayed here with another business associate. I only stayed for one night where he stayed for 4 nights(2 weeks in a row M-F). I had no problems at all. The continental breakfast was good and the service was great. As for my associate, the first night he stayed there(in the first week), his refrigerator stopped working. He...

This is the second time in four years we've stayed here and we were happily impressed by its updates, especially in the way of WiFi. The hotel does a nice job of carrying New Glarus's required Swiss style to its architecture and decor, while not being cliche about it. Our room was nice, comfy and very clean. The staff was...

They are not the Ritz and not trying to be. They let me bring my puppy and that means the world to me. Enchanting rooms with Old World Style. The entire staff was friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was included and yummy, Fresh baked pastries. You do not diet when you come to this resting place...

The only real downfall to this hotel would be the outdated rooms. The circa 1980’s room décor left a bad taste in my mouth for the price we paid (approx. $170 on a Saturday). Most of the interior of the hotel was dated too. However, once I got over that I was pleased with everything else. LOCATION: Excellent. Gas station...

We visit New Glarus at least once or twice a year, to stock up on beer and cheese and, of course, to enjoy the laid back lifestyle. This was our first trip to NG with our 6-month old daughter. The Chalet was perfect! We ended up with a suite because that was all that was left on the weekend we...

Stayed 2 nights at the Chalet Landhaus. Last time we were there was the late 1980s, so was happy to see that the Landhaus is still a great place to stay. A European style buffet breakfast is included, and has local meats, cheeses and great pastries from the New Glarus Bakery. We used the hot tub and enjoyed it. One...
