I stayed here over the first weekend in October 2019. I contacted the hotel prior to my stay because I knew I was going to need to do the credit card pre authorization process because I would get to the hotel before my travel mate and he had the credit card we would be using. If you have worked front desk at a hotel this is a pretty common occurrence. I get to the hotel, and let the girl at the front desk know that I had emailed my pre auth in the day before and also had a physical copy if she needed it. She said she shouldn't but made a copy of it anyway. I get checked in and go to settle in my room. The room is fine, looks clean, whatever. Upon further inspection the mini fridge was dirty and there was a tray of dirty melted water under the freezer unit, which was gross but I can handle wiping down a few dirty spots and dumping the tray of water. As I start to settle in I got to connect to the advertised free wifi. I can see it's there but it will not connect. Tried on 4 separate devices and no luck. I call down to the front desk and the girl says she will reset the router and to give it a few minutes, Fine I do that. I try again almost an hour later, still no luck. Go down to the front desk to ask whats up and am told "Well it's working in the lobby so there is nothing I can do". Was also told to try connecting my devices in the lobby and then going back to my room to see if that works. Mine you this is not a huge hotel. I am maybe 6 rooms down the hall from the lobby on the first floor. So I just didn't have the advertised free wifi at all during my stay. On top of this Saturday morning I wake up to see that the hotel had charged the wrong card!!! And not only that but put a hold on that card for double the normal amount for incidentals. I go down to the desk to get that sorted, am told it will be and there will be a note left for the manger to fix anything the front desk can't, and then go on my way. Thank God I had family and friends with me during the trip or this mess up would have made it so I had no money for food or anything else I may need. The girl at the front desk on Saturday said that the hold would be released that day or Sunday so I go about my business and pray this will work out. Sunday rolls around and lo and behold, things are not fixed. I am really fed up at this point and ask to speak to a manger. The toothless women at the desk meets my request with attitude and says the manager is never in on weekends. I say fine, grab the manager's card off the desk and ask this front desk agent why I'm being charged A on the wrong card and B double the amount for the incidentals. I am again meet with attitude and as she points to a sign about the incidentals charge she says that is the amount for incidentals and I would have to talk to the manager for more information. Fine check me out then and yes I want a folio. I am so incredibly upset that the entire weekend I was either treated like I was the problem or that I needed to suck it up and deal with this hotel's poor service and amenities. My family has worked in and around the hotel industry for years and I know it is not that hard to make a guest's stay a good one. Every step of the way this could have been prevented or fixed if the front desk agents would have cared more or actually done what they are trained to do. When I called the manager when she was finally in even she did not understand why this was messed up. And though she tried to make it right, I have still not seen the refund on the card they wrongly charged even though she said it should have happened yesterday or today. I know saying I will never stay here again does nothing, but I wont, and I will make sure to tell everyone I know what an awful experience I had here.

The most important thing to me is that the hotel room was clean and it was. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were soft and it was nice having a hot breakfast before checking out. I would stay here again.

Great little out of the way hotel. Clean quiet rooms at a reasonable rate. Nice breakfast with a vast selection of carbs as well as proteins and fruits. Not far from the Greater Oshkosh area. Plan a stay today!!

Very nice small hotel. Comfortable bed, clean, friendly staff, and quiet. Location was perfect for us this trip. Didn't get to the breakfast, but they have coffee, decaf and regular with flavors on in the lobby 24/7.

I have stayed at this property at least six times in the past six years (once since it became Cobblestone). What is truly significant is how consistent everything is – almost like the movie Groundhog Day! (For example, and don’t focus on just this, but the hall carpet always needs vacuuming!) My review is relative to my experiences in economy hotels over the past six years. Above average 1. The spa is terrific, about the best anywhere. It is large, crystal-clear, and the perfect temperature. With the jets off, you could hold a magazine with your toes at the bottom of the tub and read it easily! It even has a “lift-chair” for the physically challenged. The swimming pool is also large and clean. The whole pool area is a tremendous asset. 2. The lobby is very pleasant and relaxing. The breakfast is also well above average. Average 3. The staff is pleasant and helpful (but see below). 4. Rooms are large and comfortable. TV and wifi/internet are very good. Below Average (My points are almost quibbles – take them as providing a “low-end.”) 5. Walk up to the front desk and most of the time there is no staff in sight. Dial “0” and someone appears immediately, often from the back office. Seems like it would be advisable to remodel the staffing area so it doesn’t seem vacant. 6. The handle to the faucet in my room fell off in my hand! 7. A constant annoyance over the years is the automatic charge for the in-room safe. Tell the staff you don’t want it and they will erase the charge – otherwise, you pay. Overall: A very good value (though the room rate seems to vary quite a bit). I am a repeat customer over the years and will continue to be.
