Enjoy your stay in Park Falls!
Our family recently visited Park Falls for a hockey tournament. We had heard that this was the most affordable stay in the area, and we found that to be true. We had a 2 queen room, that was clean. The new owners were easy to work with, and even alerted our team when more rooms became available. When I reached out to confirm our room, prior to our stay, they were quick to answer my questions and confirm. I found this to be true upon arrival as well. We were delighted to learn that they offered a continental breakfast, which offered many selections to make our family happy. It was clear to us that the new owners are fully invested in this property. It would be interesting to visit this property in the future to see the updates.
We needed a place to stay in Park Falls and this was a very comfortable option. We reserved two rooms and each were a bit individualized, very clean, and comfortable. Park Falls is a pretty small town without many attractions. This location is conveniently located.
Stayed here one night for work. Let's just say there don't appear to be many good options in Park Falls on a weeknight in the dead of winter. I was welcomed with a friendly smile at check-in by who I assume is the owner. I had stayed here years before when it was a Super 8 and, if memory serves me correctly, it has improved since then. The floors in the room were a wood laminate. I'm fine with that because hotel carpeting can be disgusting when you think about it. My bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a heavier weight comforter on it. So many of the cheap hotels just use a thin blanket and I never quite get comfortable. The rom was clean. I was given handicap accessible room. The shower head hit me in the sternum so I had to stoop over quite a but, but plenty of hot water. The hotel was pretty quiet, although the heating unit kicked in about every five minutes. The room also had a small refrigerator. My room was $72. I skipped the complimentary breakfast because I had to leave early. I'd stay here again for work.…
Limited choices with little competition allow places like this to survive. Pet charges are high, making this not America’s best value at all. Rooms are clean, but amenities (soap, towel size, continental breakfast, etc.) are not consumer friendly. They follow a “good enough” philosophy. However staff is helpful, even if the price quoted on the phone is not what the real price is because of a “mistake.”
First the good things: our room was really clean and quiet, no bad smells and a ground floor room as requested. Not so good: the breakfast was very limited and all that I saw to eat was a few slices of bread to toast and 2 bananas, pitchers of juice and milk in the fridge..maybe coffee but I don't drink it. The bad thing: first impressions go a long way and the desk attendant should be more aware of their appearance and hygiene. I'll just leave my comment at that and won't elaborate!
