A decent place to look at, though there isn't too much that's actially Amish about the place...but smell wise...if you like the smell of cat pee, urine luck. Otherwise...you might want to go somewhere else.

We stayed at the Great River Amish Inn for one night on a visit of the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum. For this area, this is a 3 star hotel - but this is a very small town with very few options. Pros: clean and pretty comfortable beds. Refrigerator, microwave, tv, good shower. Cons: the sheets were hot and the AC...

Although our room was neat and well dusted the entire place, especially the crowded office, smells like cat pee. This inn\motel is across the street from the Ingalls Museum but please choose somewhere else as this place is depressing and stinks. Pepin and Stockholm are wonderful to visit and full of beautiful drives and Laura Ingalls Wilder family history but...

I recently stayed here for a family reunion in the summer and it was a hilarious experience! We arrived with my family of five to find that there were only 2 beds and a small bathroom in our entire room. The room was cold and creepy; the first thing i thought when I sat on my bed was "did someone...

We were on bicycles and turned away from another motel in the area. This place had one room left and were happy to let bicycle riders stay there. The room is clean and comfortable but not much in the way of amenities. No ice machine, no phone, no microwave, etc. However, the bed was comfortable and the woman who ran...

I have never written a hotel review before and have traveled all over the world staying in many interesting places however I have never encountered anything like my experience here so felt as a public service announcement I needed to advise everyone. This hotel is very odd and the owner is a very unpleasant older lady with no people skills....

The cleanliness is the standout. You could eat off the bathroom floors. Very spartan room. No landline phones, very small wall mounted tv (hey, you aren't here to watch tv anyhow). Microwave and a small refrigerator which wasn't turned off. We visited on a summer day when the dew point was around 70 and were thankful for the air conditioner...

We had reserved a room at the Inn several months in advance of a wedding. Two days before the wedding, the Inn called to tell us that they had given our room to someone else. They didn't offer to find another place for us to stay - just suggested that we call around. Now every hotel/motel/b&b within 50 miles is...

We stayed here when we booked a last minute trip to Pepin for our anniversary and all the hotels in the area were booked. Thankfully, we only stayed one night. We had 2 full beds in the room and they were not comfortable (happy anniversary). The room was musty and the air conditioner hardly worked. I didn't bother taking a...

My husband and I went on a impropmtu trip to Red Wing, MN yesterday and before we left I picked a random place to stay. Well, it was based on price and reviews but that's all I knew about the area. Wow were we surprised! It was a beautiful driver accross the river and around the bends on our 35...
