I stayed here while visiting family, and it was perfect for that. It was inexpensive and a short drive to their home. If you are looking to be walking distance from the sights of Port Washington, I don't recommend it. The room was large, clean and quiet with a large bathroom and nice desk and seating areas with chairs. The bed was super comfortable, and the climate control very use and it worked quickly. Breakfast was still grab and go, but the egg, sausage, and cheese muffin or bagel sandwiches were good. I also had juice and a piece of fruit each day. I thought the stairway arrangement was a bit odd. I was staying on one of the short wings, and thought there would be an entrance and stairway at the front of the building I could take to my room rather than coming through the lobby each time. Taking the stairway directly down from my room dumped me out at the back side and had me walking right by the garbage though. Not a big issue, I just thought it odd and I like to take the stairs as much as possible and avoid going through the lobby. I didn't use the exercise room or visit the attached bar and grill.…
First of all let me say we loved Port Washington great community restaurants etc. However the Country Inn was horrible. It was lifeless no color felt like a waste from the moment we got into the lobby. We were not greeted we walked up to the counter and had to initiate the check in process. The person at the counter smiled but seemed completely disshelved and a little annoyed we were there. I could continue about how horrible the room was and how hot the hallway was and the breakfast the next day was a joke. I would expect something that horrible maybe at the beginning of the pandemic but not a year into it. The next lady was just as lost not really even knowing anything about the town or restaurants. Worst experience ever. I did call about the room and they moved us I another room and upgraded us to a suite however there were lights bulbs out and the sheets were stained but on the bright side the bolt lock worked and so did the remote in this room…
We always look for a nice, clean motel on the outside and lobby. This was a good place for us to spend the night. The bonus was the restaurant that was attached to it. Very convenient and good food. The breakfast to go was good from the motel too.
Traveled to Port wash/ Sheboygan area for a 2 night getaway. The country inn and suites was a decent place. It was very clean and quiet. I needed batteries for the TV remote they were happy to provide. They have to abide by certain rules for the election infection for the pool like 1 hour swims but so what. The morning breakfast is a to go bag of fruit and muffins. Only complaint so far is bed is too soft for my back and the pillows offer 0 head support. Otherwise the hotel did the job. We had a larger suit with separate living room area which I also recommend if your staying more than one day.
Port Washington was busy due to the holiday. Had to stay up much later than I wanted the first night due to all the noise. I tried turning on the AC to drown it out, but it wouldn’t stay running. The people across from me had loud screaming kids that did not shut up until 1AM. The people above me had kids that were jumping around in the afternoon but at least they settled down. This place is horrible for noise. There is a huge gap under the door so I can hear everything in the hallway AND can hear what people are doing in their rooms even with the doors closed. The kids across from me were screaming and running in the hallways and their parents weren’t any better. I get it’s a holiday weekend but this is ridiculous. I normally don't wake up very easily, but at 3AM someone upstairs went to the bathroom and their walking around stomping woke me up. Not restful at all. The fridge was small and was sitting on the floor. Therefore, it’s really difficult to get things in and out of it. They could at least set the fridge on something to get it off the floor. Wifi is slow too. Difficult to get any work done with pages taking so long to load. Was excited to learn the hotel had a guest laundry as that was not listed as an amenity online. However, that ended up being a huge disappointment. It costs $2.50 to wash. It’s a weird machine where the lid locks once you press start. Not sure why. Lost two minutes because the machine wasn’t doing anything. I kept opening and shutting the lid and finally it started to fill. However, I noticed it was cold water. I had chosen hot. I fiddled with the water shut off valves and got hot water for a little bit, but then it was cold again. Made no sense. Turning off the cold water means no water at all. Then the washer doesn’t agitate. It makes weird noises but doesn’t agitate. The whole point of getting clothes clean with the washing machine is the agitation. I’m the only one agitated. I could have soaked my clothes in cold water in the tub for free. Dryer works but doesn’t say how much time you have on it. After an hour the clothes were not even close to being dry. Due to having to dry the clothes twice I did not get to bed until 2AM the second night. Which is sad because everything else about the room was good and I could have gotten a decent night's sleep otherwise. It wasn't all bad. I'm assuming that during the week it's not as loud. Front desk staff were nice. They have an elevator which is appreciated. Water pressure could be stronger but still adequate. The shampoo smelled great.…
