Located in a quiet town away from the bustle of Bayfield but still in vicinity of the beautiful apostle islands. Tom and Karleen are very warm and accommodating. They provide a spectacular 5 star gourmet breakfast, and has a very nice yard and patio to relax on. The rooms are not fancy but clean and quiet. Very reasonably priced compared...

This is a lovely bed & breakfast. The owners are very welcoming and charming. The setting is beautiful. There are flower gardens in the back, along with a large deck to relax with your coffee in the morning. Breakfast is one of the best we've had in a bed & breakfast. Each course was prepared with care and beautifully presented....

On a last minute decision we decided to go see the ice caves. By luck we found the Garden house B & and booked the 2 bedroom suite for my wife and daughter. The house was very clean and spacious. The owners were very charming and accomodating. It ended up being very convenient for us to get to the ice...

Great hosts, warm and beautiful B&B, delicious breakfast and all around unforgettable experience. We run into our hosts by a draw of luck and couldn't ask for the better accommodations . Next time I will plan to stay at the Garden House. If you ever travel in northern Wisconsin, admiring the beauty of Lake Superior, you will be in luck...

Our family had stayed there several times. Nice quiet & comfortable place with beautiful gardens & art work. The hosts go out if their way to help you & serve a beautiful breakfast. The room downstairs is nice if you have kids since there are 2 bedrooms & you have a private entrance. A hidden gem!

I had the good fortune of staying at Garden House and had a fantastic time! The gardens are as wonderful as advertised and the sense of quiet is so relaxing--just what the doctor ordered for an escape from hectic city-dwelling. Tom and Karleen are amazingly friendly and kind; both are happy to point out local attractions/destinations and they both take...

I stayed here with my parents. The gardens were lovely. I discovered it as someone else had mentioned the owners were avid bike enthusiast and I was doing a bike trip in the area. I arrived by bike and my parents arrived by automobile. We loved the gardens, the eating suggestions from the owners and the conversation with Karleen and...

We found the Garden House B&B by happenstance as we decided with little notice to take in the wonder of the famous 2014 Apostle Island Ice Caves. We wished we could have spent more time at the Garden House and explored their winter landscape with groomed trails for cross country skiing. Tom said there were 10 miles he and a...

My husband and I recently stayed at the Garden House and enjoyed the serene quiet of our accommodations and the Port Wing area. The Garden House is in a country setting surrounded on 3 sides by evergreen woods but close enough to the fishing village of Port Wing to walk along its streets and open spaces. The Village itself has...

We decided on the spur of the moment to drive up to see the ice caves along the south shore of Lake Superior. Since we weren't too familiar with the area, we searched the internet for lodging and fortunately found Garden House B&B. Karleen and Tom gave us a warm welcome and made us feel right at home in their...

“We almost didn't stop here because it is about 36 miles to Bayfield. We were so glad we didn't let that deter us. There is plenty to do right in the area of Port Wing especially if you like quiet with few crowds. We did take the trip to the Apostle Islands one day which is well worth the boat ride.”
