Stayed here on a recent business stop over and was impressed with the property. Breakfast bar now operating on normal schedules, with hot breakfast options. Impressed by omelet, ham, hash browns and other options, which were very good. Rooms are good and enough space to move freely. Bath was large with full tub and shower, with plenty of hot water. Mini fridge , and good size flat screen TV for your viewing of local and national events. Bedding overall was good, but could use a little improvements on mattress quality. Overall will definitely stay here again, when in the area. Enjoy Snowman :0)
We have stayed at this establishment a number of times over the last couple of months. This is a very clean place, especially during the covid fiasco we experienced. The breakfast is now open with enough food so everyone in the party can find something to put in their bellies. The pool and hot tub were good, and, they have 2 old fashioned pinball machines to play!
This hotel is dated and it shows. The hallways are dingy, the carpet is dirty and the windows and screens are in rough shape. However, the room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was definitely above average. Front desk clerk was very helpful and friendly. You can tell that this hotel used to be something in its prime and overall it is still a good place if you can overcome some of its "dated' features.
Have to keep window open to evacuate room funk. Which is different than lobby hallway funk or stairwell funk. Lobby had a bunch of leaks from HVAC. Can't imagine rest of hotel is better. Internet wicked slow. Everything needs work. Hallway dark with sanitarium paint on doors. Pool's okay, but still some missing tiles. Men's locker room hasn't been cleaned for long time. "business center" printer wonky/broke. Obviously folks in charge don't care about the place, don't give them your money. Place was probably great back when folks used the two payphones. Even wallpaper has some pealing at seams. Only stay here if no other option available.
This hotel is in need of a serious upgrade. The whole place smells musty, the breakfast is hardly edible, the bed was so hard we might as well have slept on the floor, which was also pretty nasty. The halls look cloudy as if people are smoking in the non smoking building. We stayed two nights for a family wedding and at $300 we should have been sleeping in a way better hotel with much friendlier/helpful staff. Every employee was super rude and cold. I definitely recommend finding yourself a different hotel if you plan to stay in Rhinelander.
