For full disclosure, we normally stay at properties rated upscale to upper midscale per STR. However, we chose this exterior corridor, older property because of its advertised quaintness in a small town, so I'm trying to base the rating on what I think this kind of property is like, not that I have similar comparisons. Upside: Staff was very friendly,...

The staff at the Lark Inn always goes out of its way to make sure everything is to our liking. Kind, caring and friendly people. The owners are very kind and knowledgeable. Really - where else would you stay in Tomah??

Quaint, clean, friendly respite on road trip. Close to Interstate 90. Met both owners who were delightful! Stayed in room with two queen beds. Room had high ceiling with fan. Decor was 70ish but well-maintained. Breakfast cinnamon rolls were yummy. Skip the chain motels and experience the Lark Inn.

I recently stayed in the two-bedroom cabin at The Lark Inn for business- I am a traveling actor, on tour across the country, and we stayed here for performances we had in the area. Since we spend a lot of time in generic hotels, it was SO NICE to stay somewhere off the beaten path! Mike was incredibly generous and...

Like other reviewers, we found the short drive through town to the Lark Inn worth the time. These folks have nailed hospitality and efficiency. Slow down and step back in time to enjoy a night's stay in this quiet roadside inn. You get what you pay for. We didn't need a lot of space and didn't have a lot of...

A friend and I visited the "Lark Inn" in a "cabin" behind the main Inn. I have to admit, for a two bedroom cabin, it w cold, dark and very cramped! The beds were fine, but they had those crappy one-piece covers that are very unattractive and I ALWAYS remove them (probably like most people) and place it on the...

Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. I am sorry that you did not have a good experience at Lark Inn. The cabins are small, but so popular because they are historic, but being historic, space is at a premium. We would have been happy to move you into a Classic or Country Room in the motel, with...

On a recent 17 day "road trip"....Tomah was a planned 'measured' stop..I always use tripadvisor to choose lodging, etc....The Lark Inn was #1 in Tomah...what a great place...thought we were "back in the 50's"......family owned and run..I think they live in the nice house on the property...very clean...neat that they have their own convenience store and gas station right there!!!...

stayed here in Sept. 2014 with a bus tour. Staff was very hospitable and helpful. We were impressed with the lovely, homey quilts and homey feel of the rooms. An absolutely beautiful place to stay! Would love the chance to visit again!

Traveling with a tour group of 49 is quite an experience. At the Lark Inn, everything turned out perfect; from check in to check out. The rooms were not only extremely clean they were inviting and spacious, with quilts on the bed and matching quilt wall hangings. It made feel like I was at my Grandma's. The staff at Lark...

I just finished bringing two bus tours to the Lark Inn, numbering over 100 people. I purposely designed both trips to be at this facility because of the wonderful experience I had six years before with another bus tour. This is a wonderful place to stay and people on both trips talked about their experience days later, something that doesn't...
