stayed at the Resort for a trip to Daisho con. The Resort was well kept and had great service. Though it was closed at the time of my stay they seemed to have great activities for a summer stay. I will more then likley be staying with them again for my net trip to Daisho con.

It was nice cozy little hotel. Good quiet location. They should really put a thermostat, replace and move the A/C somewhere not close to the bed it's so loud and the air is blowing right on you when yourlaying down on that side of the bed.and the tub stopper didn't work in our roo

It's off by the water, in a cozy little area all by itself. Love the decor-floor, walls...all in my taste! Cute little gift shop in the office. Awesome view out our sliding doors in back. (2 deer were going past first thing when I opened the curtains in the morning!) 2 queen siz

My wife, my son and I just enjoyed a wonderful weekend at this older but very well kept resort. We chose this resort due to its location half way between St. Paul, Minnesota (where my son lives) and Chicago (Our home) as well as the fact that it is dog friendly (so my son could b

This is for the first time I stayed in Sunset Bay Resort. I liked the location very much, unfortunately, the room that I stayed had no thermostat. We were staying with 2 kids, its a room with 2 beds. One bed very near to the A/ C, so whenever it turned on makes a lot of noise. Co

Hi - what is the weight and size restriction for a dog at the resort? My dog is approx 55lbs right now. Also, could we leave her in our room for a few hours? Pretty sure, there’s no dogs allowed on jet boats or the Ducks 😉 Thanks!
Not sure. But I know the people across the hall this summer left their dog in their room because they had a note for housekeeping to not come in for that reason.

If a family stays at Sunset Bay, may they bring their own boat to use at the lake. Thanks
They do not have a place to put your boat in but there are several public access points on the Lake. There wasn't anyone with their own boat when we were there, but some did rent a boat for the day and dock it at Sunset Bay. I would call to ask, they are very friendly.

Are there nightly bonfires? If so, how late into the season? We'll be staying in early October.
Not sure, We will be there around that time, as well. I would phone the Resort.

If we stay for a week, do we get daily tickets to kalahari that can be used all week??
The tickets for kalahari I understood were for the game area. Not for the actual water park. I am not sure if you would get them all week tho. We didn't use them during our stay. We had a basketball tourney in town so we were busy.

Hi, robert. What would you like to know about this accommodation? do I need to let them know if we are bringing our dogs ahead of time
I know they allow pets, and I do believe you must make arrangements in advance. i do believe there is a pet fee also.

"Beach view."
"We stayed in the building with rooms numbered 200. It had a porch and a clear view of the lake."
"Options to fit any family size."
"The Canyon Duplex suites are private, very new, great kitchens. Beachfront suites are a bit hit-or-miss with noise/traffic."
"We always try for the lake view rooms on the second floor."
