I don’t normally write reviews but my family had such an AMAZING time at Paradise they deserve a 10/10 review! For context I legit looked at over 100 dude ranches, made an excel doc, called around, read reviews and let me tell you, this one checks all the boxes so look no further. Land/property - It’s a massive ranch surrounded by million plus acres of national forest. So beautiful, rona of trails, great weather and totally secluded. They had around 40 guests when we were there which is I think their avg, which is perfect. You get to know mostly everyone by the end of the week and it doesn’t feel like a commercial resort with random people. Horses - my biggest thing when picking a ranch was making sure they had horses that had a lot of “go”! I’ve had years of experience riding so I didn’t want a ranch that was all nose to tail. They didn’t disappoint, they had barrel racing, poles, working cows via team penning, loping rides, scenic all day or half day rides. I also did a private lesson one day with a Wrangler in the arena to touch up skills and it was a blast! And we had the chance to just go with our private party on trails which was important to me. Also love that you have the same horse all week so you really get to bond with them. Literally something for everyone and horses are very well cared for and trained! Fishing - ponds and rivers right on the property which was so convenient and we did catch fish, they have rods and gear for you to use, casting clinics for newbies, optional half or full day guided trips (for an extra fee) and a super cute fly shop with a ton of gear. Dan the guide was so friendly and knowledgeable! Cabins - Such cute, clean cabins. Decor was old school country but it fit the vibe, we stayed in Rams head which was 4 bedrooms with a stunning view of the ranch! They also had this butler system where you can request items everyday and the staff goes into town to pick it up for you, so smart! Hiking - they had a hiking guide there though we were having such a blast with the other activities we didn’t do a full day hike, however we did our own hike of the Fan Rock and it was sooo pretty for sunrise Staff & Owners - wranglers and fishing guides were so knowledgeable, very fun and attentive. If you weren’t having fun or had questions they were always willing to adapt the plan or customize the activities. Leah and Clay the owners were so kind and made a point to come around at each meal to check on everyone to ensure all we’re having a good time. Food - fantastic and sooo many options at each meal and everyday was something different! Legit homemade everything - bagels, ice cream, corn bread you name it!! The dining hall seating and BBQs at the outdoor pavilion by the river gave everyone a chance to meet each other and socialize! Bar - such a fun saloon, from trivia to dancing nights they had it all and great music! Facilities- the ranch was kept so clean, with over 100 horses I can imagine how easy it is to let a place get messy but my goodness it was well kept! They also had a stunning outdoor pool area which was lovely to have a lazy day. Other activities: Another day we scheduled massages, and I heard some friends of ours also did archery one day. There’s also Yellowstone is only about 3-4hr drive away if you wanted to take your rental car there for a day or there’s golfing in Buffalo. They also can help you rent mountain bikes if you’re into that! I’m telling you they have it all!! Town of Buffalo - if you have a rental car I recommend checking out the Occidental Hotel/Bar for a drink, it was established in 1880 (I think it’s the oldest bar west of Mississippi or something nuts!), they have pictures of the Longmire cast everywhere in town which is so cool as I think that’s where they filmed. As you can tell by my review, we had a blast and again they really checked all the boxes! Don’t waste your time looking elsewhere, 10/10 recommend!…

My husband and I spend a week at a horse ranch in the West every summer. We live in Florida, have our own horses and do a lot of trail riding. The scenery at Paradise Ranch was amazing. The Bighorn Mountains are extremely beautiful. Our cabin was very nice with a kitchen, living room and fireplace. The view from the front deck was great and some mornings you could see Elk herds and Moose from the deck especially if you were up early. We also saw elk and deer on several rides. The other guests were very friendly and we had a lot of fun with them and made a lot of new friends. The Paradise Ranch website says "We custom fit each guest with the horse that perfectly matches their riding ability". However, this is not true. We told them that we were experienced riders and requested horses accordingly. They ignored our request and gave us horses that barely moved. My horse would barely trot and almost never loped. This would have been a great horse for a six year old. Every afternoon I would ask for another horse but was refused. During breakfast people signed up for what type of ride they wanted that day and we always picked lope but it almost always ended up being just a walk. I know they had better horses because at the team penning event I saw less experienced guests riding better horses than we had. The wranglers at the stables were not very friendly and most treated the adults like children telling us the same things over and over. Some of the wranglers were very nice especially Aaron, Josh, Austin and Lane. However, I would have thought one of them could have given me a better horse. I was looking forward to the square dance night but the wranglers took over and the guests never made it to the dance floor. If you've never ridden a horse and you just want your horse to walk and you just want to look at scenery this is the place for you.…

In our fast-paced world full of technology infusion, fast food meals and 140-character communication strings, Paradise Guest Ranch is an unparalleled time warp experience to a place where technology is unplugged, kids play outside until dark, families eat together, guests build friendships with each other and everyone tries something new. Even the ranch brand is “FUN”. The historic guest ranch in the middle of the 1.1 million acre Big Horn National Forest offers something exciting for everyone, from trail riding, team penning, fly fishing, wild flower hiking, pony rides, kids rodeo and much more. The hardest dilemma is picking between all of the unique offerings each day. For the adventure seeker, squeezing in a nap is near impossible. However, for the relaxation seeker, there is always a comfortable nook with a mountainous view and rhythmic sound of a flowing creek. Each meal seems to be tastier than the next, including smoked barbecue, chicken saltimbocca, sirloin steak and more mouthwatering dinners. We the exception of a few cookout dinners, most meals are served in the historic dining hall filled with long communal tables where families and crew sit shoulder to shoulder in traditional ranch style. In addition to the infamous talent night, picnic on the hill, chuck wagon dinner and square dance, a favorite evening highlight is Thursday’s Kids Overnight / Adults Gourmet Night where all of the kids campout overnight in the forest nearby with supervision and the adults enjoy a kids-free gourmet dinner followed by music and dancing. I’m never sure who has more fun, the parents or the s’more stuffed kids. This was our first stay back at Paradise in over 22 years. Amazingly, most elements of the experience remained unchanged after all of these years. Familiarity and comfort was embraced around every corner. The owners, Clay, Leah, Rebecca and Kevin, work tirelessly to deliver a consistent and exceptional experience for new and returning guests alike. Paradise stole my heart when I first visited the ranch in 1985 and will forever be like home to me. However, the true testament was watching two new families be first in line for rebooking next summer. Neither family expected to get hooked on Paradise so quickly. Be forewarned, there is something about Paradise that will forever capture a place in your heart.…

It’s difficult to put into words how magical Paradise Guest Ranch is. This for us was week two of a 4 week trip across America and Canada and a dude ranch was something we were keen to incorporate. So following some research and a strong recommendation from our agent Felicia @ Odyssey Travel we went for PGR. It was me (42), my wife Sam (40), our boys (11 and 8) plus my parents (71 and 70). None of us had really ridden before! The accommodation is great but you don’t spend much time there. The riding programme is amazing - you just get on with it and choose rides to suit how you feel that day. The cow penning was a particular highlight. The scenery is unbelievable too. The fishing is also great fun with some knowledgeable guides who got the kids really good at fly fishing. The food is amazing - despite all the exercise we all put on a few pounds! But what you cannot really explain in words is the magic of the place that Leah and Clay have created. You socialise with all the staff, you make friends in the Saloon Bar and by day 2 or 3 the kids have just disappeared, out having fun with boys and girls from across the world. We will certainly be back …

After one week at this truly beautiful ranch, I felt as relaxed as I normally do after taking two weeks off. Why, because my family and I were able to disconnect from our routine lives and connect with Paradise. The ranch is 12 miles from the nearest town of Buffalo and situated within a wooded bowl. Protected national forrest land surrounds the ranch and adds to the outdoor horse riding, hiking, and fishing opportunities. Other than the sounds of happy horses grazing in the pastures at night and the rushing creek that runs through the middle of the property, the ranch is silent at night (the ranch is not under any commercial airline flight path that I noticed). The owners Clay, Leah, Rebecca and Kevin are extremely personable and make an effort to get to know all the guests. Their staff are amazingly friendly and attentive, and they too make it their mission to ensure that each guest has an unforgettable experience. The food is incredible! Absolutely incredible. The best part of the week for my family and I was connecting with the other guests who came in from all corners of the country. You are able to build relationships based on shared experiences throughout the week. With no cell service available at the ranch, the guests are truly able to "disconnect" from work and "connect" with family, new friends, and the natural beauty of the ranch. A common conversation at meal time amongst the parents was the fact that our children had not asked to watch a video on the iPad, choosing instead to play with their new friends outside. True Paradise indeed!…

The Paradise Guest Ranch is a true gem. Upon first driving onto the property, you are struck by the jaw-dropping beauty of this 160-acre property (which abuts over 1.2 million unspoiled acres of National Wilderness ). Few places have the natural beauty of the ranch and its surroundings. But the landscape is only the start. This world-class guest ranch is the perfect blend of outdoor activities, ranging from an outstanding horseback program to blue ribbon trout fly fishing, both on the property and on surrounding blue ribbon streams, to hiking. There is also an excellent Kids Program that will make your children's stay at the Ranch one they will remember for the rest of their lives. It builds confidence, friendships, responsibility and team work, And it also frees up Mom and Dad for adventures of their own! Lots of "dude ranches" offer riding and other programs. Paradise's secret is its people. Simply put, this is the best group of young people you will find anywhere. Whether it's the dozens of horse wranglers, the fly fishing team, the wait staff in their excellent communal dinning hall to the detail-focused house keeping staff, the overarching mantra seems to be: Treat the Customers like they are the only thing that matter. And, like any great organization, the culture of outstanding customer service comes from its leadership, Clay and Leah. They share the single-minded obsession of making sure each guest feels very special and that every family has a truly memorable experience. We have gone each of the last two years and will be going back for as long as they will have us! Thank you to Clay, Leah, Rebecca, Kevin and the whole team of amazing young people who give so much of themselves so that the rest of us can come away from a week at the Ranch feeling recharged, reinvigorated and reconnected as a family! We love you guys!!! Paradise, indeed!…

Our family just completed our 16th consecutive yearly visit to Paradise Ranch, and it is still the most incredible family vacation ever! The horseback riding allows us to take in some of the most breathtaking beauty the Bighorn Mountains have to offer. The ranch offers great variety of meals, including an amazing Gourmet Night that rivals any foodie restaurant we have ever tried. How about swing dancing, and an incredible square dance to top things off? What an amazing place to share family traditions and enjoy the richness of friendships old and new! Come enjoy some time in the true American West! Thanks Paradise Ranch for giving us and our kids theist week ever!!! Yes Hawwww:) Jim Adams !

If you are looking for an adventure with amazing views, amenities, and staff then look no further than Paradise Guest Ranch. Paradise Guest Ranch is in the Bighorn National Forest which makes the setting stunning. I went on vacation t two of my friends and families and had a wonderful time. My two girlfriends and I grew up riding horses but our families didn't. This didn't stop anyone though because the Ranch is very good about selecting the right horse for all levels of riders. Our group rode horses daily, fly fished and hiked. We went out on amazing rides through the Bighorn National Forest, raced the horses around barrels and poles and participated in cow penning. Our kids made new friends and the teenagers camped overnight with the Ranch's wranglers as Chaperones. They could not stop talking about how much fun they had. We didn't have young kids with us but they had a kids program with activities for small children as well. Besides the location and the facilities the next two best things about Paradise Guest Ranch is the staff and the food. There is not one person that worked at the Ranch that was not friendly, nice, helpful and went out of their way to make sure you had a fabulous vacation. The food was excellent and you will not go hungry at this ranch. My family and friends had a blast and cannot wait to go back.…

Paradise epitomizes the authentic Western Dude Ranch. Paradise is truly, 'the place at the end of the road'. It is located 15 miles inside the Bighorn National Forest. The horseback riding is without parallel, and generally regarded as the best riding environment in the West. The topography is unique. Open parks, where you can lope for miles at a time, deep canyons where you can ride alongside creeks cascading from snow-covered mountains, and deep forests surrounded by Lodgepole and Ponderosa pine. The wranglers are superb, experienced, affable and dedicated to providing a safe and yet exhilarating ride. The fishing is terrific. Both on the ranch or off, with Paradise's crew of dedicated fishing guides. The Bighorn mountains offer varied, and and rewarding fishing opportunities. Rainbow, Cutthroat and Brook are all available. Even Grayling can be found in the high mountain lakes. The food and accommodations are wonderful. Every family enjoys their own private log cabin with wood burning fireplaces, laundry facilities, and daily maid service. Sitting on your porch, with your boots up on the railing, enjoying a relaxing beverage and enjoying the view of French Creek and Fan Rock is a daily and time-honored routine. Paradise takes great pride in their exceptional culinary offerings. Starting with a made- to -order breakfast, along with a different, daily creation by the pastry chef . Lunch offers several main courses along with an extensive salad and sandwich bars. Dinners are always multi-course, utilizing the freshest and most varied local sourced items, which can be accompanied with selections from the ranches extensive wine list. Daily and nightly activities, make the days speed by. You have to make an effort to slow down, observe and enjoy the unique ambiance of Paradise. The almost palpable quiet of the forest provides the opportunity for guests to truly unwind, sign off, and relax in a spectacular setting. As Aldo Leopold said, 'What else could you call it?"…
