Lovely, quiet, clean room with comfortable bed. We needed a relaxing get away and we got more than we ever expected. The owners were attentive and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The gourmet meals were fabulous. We can't wait to return.

Thanks for your kind remarks, we look forward to catching up with you again when you can get away from the ranch, and maybe you can bring your son! Happy Holidays!

This place is an immaculate, comfortable gem in an unlikely location. Beautifully restored historic property doing double duty as a refuge from notorious I-80 closing winter storms. We pulled up late afternoon on the Sunday after Thanksgiving escaping the frightening whiteout blizzard. Elk Mountain Wyoming. Population 109. Really? Lodging here? Crept into an empty snow covered parking lot and a...

Thanks for your kind remarks. Hope your delay did not prevent Journey from getting her attendance award. It was a blizzard after all. Glad you got to your destination safely and hope to see you again sometime in better weather.

A jewel in the middle of nowhere. Wonderful accommodations and delicious meals in a perfect setting. The owners and Melissa made our visit very special. Will definitely be back with friends. A romantic, intimate getaway!!

This hotel is more like a historic western hotel bed and gourmet food experience. It is in an extremely quite, off the freeway, hotel built in 1905 but with new modern amenities. The gourmet restaurant offers a full gluten free menu. Chef Susan is a magician with foods. The floors squeak a little but for me, a person who loves...

Hotel is a small hotel off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. Furnished with beautiful Victorian antiques, but very comfortable. Owners were very gracious, room was very comfortable - there are two parlors, plus a dining room. We ate dinner & breakfast there - food was great, owner is a classically trained Cordon Bleu chef. We had originally...

Thanks for your appreciation. Hope the rest of the stay in Yellowstone goes equally well and you have a great time. Hope you also enjoyed the journey up to Yellowstone and you had a pleasant day's drive. Cheers!

Traveling with my sister and brother-in-law, my husband and I were looking for a hotel somewhere between Yellowstone and Rocky Mountain National Park and were pretty much resigned to booking a chain hotel off the interstate. But luckily we happened upon the Historic Elk Mountain Hotel while we were researching the route and we were so glad we did. Driving...

Thanks Candace for your kind remarks that I will share with the staff because we are a team here and everyone plays a part, even those you do not see. Glad the route worked out. We live in a beautiful part of the country and as usual the best bits are not viewable via the Interstates. Anyway glad you had...

The Historic Elk Mountain Hotel is very well done. The rooms are well decorated, with comfortable beds and side chairs. The views from the rooms is all trees and Wyoming hills. The two sitting rooms are very comfortable. Dining is of top quality. Well done..

We were looking for a unique hotel for a one night stay between Jackson Hole and Denver. What a delightful find the Elk Mountain Hotel was! Our room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed before dinner cocktails in the parlor where we had an opportunity to review pictures of the restoration and visit with the owners, Susan and Arthur....

Stayed at the Inn for one night. Dinner was superb. Had stuffer fish stuffed with crab and a complied with lobster sauce. Breakfast in the morning was also wonderful. My companions also thoroughly enjoyed their meals.

The craftsmanship of the restoration of this facility is great. The hotel was very clean, comfortable beds and quiet, well appointed rooms. The staff has thought of everything. The food was outstanding. Will certainly return. Great value for the money. Staff cares a lot and is very helpful.

Thanks Tommy, glad you enjoyed your stay, but think you made a typing error as you were in room 11 not 1. The Evans Suite (11), is the only room with a Jacuzzi Tub. Room 1 is equipped with bath and shower, but no Jacuzzi. I will share your comments with my staff and especially my cleaning staff that does...
