The front desk staff were friendly and helpful with dining suggestions. This is likely the only redeeming aspect of the hotel. The bathroom was very clean and the carpet appeared to be quite new which initially gave the impression that there had been some recent renovations. That thought was quickly discouraged when viewing the rest of the room. The upholstery...

At first glance we weren't too sure of this hotel, but we had reservations for the first night on our vacation. When we got to our room, everything was clean and the staff was very friendly. In some reviews, they said there was a very good free breakfast, but they said they don't offer that anymore so we ate at...

The property is well maintained and at the time of our stay improvements were under way in several buildings. Plenty of parking, and convenient to an I-80 exit. The room has a nice layout, spacious, clean, several in room amenities and good décor. Sleep comfort was A-OK. It was a good value for the price. The only draw back, no...

clean, extremely quiet. they mean it when they say they block out the outside including hall noise. good pet walk areas. downside - ice and laundry in main building. laundry on 2. when you use a cane, not fun. found a laundry in town instead. nice diner on site.

It's a convenient hotel near the highway exit, rooms are OK, but there's absolutely no breakfast inside the hotel. However, what was to be a restful night could have been a night in hospital, and the staff member's mistake is unacceptable! When we opened the door to the room we had been given, we saw 2 dogs run towards us,...

An awesome oasis in the middle of nowhere. Right on eastbound side of I-80. Very simple but exceptionally clean. Penny's Diner open 24 hours in front. Excellent diner food. Very reasonable. Very quiet, with black out curtains so if you need to sleep by day, I would go out of my way for this hotel. No pool for the kids....great!...

The Oak Tree is mostly a "crew hotel" for railroad crews. They have a few rooms available for non railroad guest. The rooms are specifically designed for railroad crews, most have one double bed, a microwave, mini fridge, TV with cable, black out curtains. The hotel is not well maintained, the carpets are very dirty, beds are rock hard, linens...

A pleasant surprise for a reasonable price to hotel. I got a very good rate through AAA. The staff at check-in were incredibly friendly. The room was spotless and very quiet. And a great view! There were some issues with the intermittent Wi-Fi. I would definitely come back.

Friendly service upon check in. Penny's diner was open for some late dinner. Took it back to the room, and it was typical good diner food that hit the spot after a long day of driving. The room was very clean which is not as common as it should be even in a budget motel. Nice view of the rock...

In our role as motorcycle travel writers/speakers, lodging is our largest business expense, so we often stay in budget accommodations. Most leave a great deal to be desired, but are suitable for our work if they have a serviceable bed, a desk and extra chair and reliable wifi. Oak Tree Inn offered so much more than the usual budget fare,...
