I really can recommend the Bucking S Ranch – there is absolutely everything that I was dreaming about - - - including being a cowgirl! I had so much fun with all the international guests and the whole staff (wranglers and housekeepers and with the cook! :)) and of course the dogs. The staff gave all of us a very... More

A great family week. Couldn't ask for more. Food was excellent cooked by Tim. It was a long trip from Dubai, 5 hour drive from Denver, plenty of places to visit on the way up. The other visitors were mostly German. All very friendly. Excellent horses each hand picked by our hostess, the riding was easy or hard, your choice.... More

The beautiful rugged landscape of this remote location provided the perfect backdrop for our adventure. The wranglers, Larry, John, Anna, and Tim were our riding companions, teachers, and cowboy role models. Cook Tim, Marquita, and Garnett kept us well fed with wonderful home-style dishes. The horses were all great and matched perfectly to the guests’ varied riding experience. We arrived... More

My wife and I stayed over a weekend. We were in the area to fish the Miracle Mile. Silke and the staff were very nice, and we stayed in a cabin, which was clean and had lots of space, a porch, and many views. The night sky was lit up with constellations that you don't see in the city. We... More

We stayed here with a familiy of 7 (kids between 8 and 14 years old). It was absolutly great in every aspect. The scenery is breathtaking, the staff is extremely friendly and the food is great. Every level of horseriding experience will be served. If you are a beginner, you get a well broken horse, if you love the challenge,... More

Our first experience of a ranch holiday which was everything we could have hoped for and more. The staff were really friendly, kind and knowledgable and happy to support riders and develop their skills. The cattle round ups were great fun and the horses superb. Food was just amazing but still managed to lose weight ! Cabins were rustic and... More

Last week I stayed at the Bucking S for the second time ( my review from last September is posted on this site). I was a little leery because sometimes it is hard to recreate magic the second time around. But I realized before I even went into the lodge that my concerns were unfounded. From the moment the canine... More

My sixth visit in six years is now coming to a close, AND I’m planning when my seventh trip will be next year. When I contemplate why I keep coming back many thoughts start flying through my mind – time alone, beautiful country, perfect accommodations, great food, no cell phone service, no stress from work or home, meeting people from... This was a great experience. Nothing but wonderful people and days filled with horseback riding. Whether you're riding for pleasure up and down the hills and ridges or driving cattle you'll have a great time. I arrived not truly knowing what to expect. Silke greeted me at the baggage claim, just as she said she would. We then had the... More

This was my second trip to the Bucking S Ranch having had the most fantastic ranch experience the previous year. The ranch is set in the middle of the mountains and you really feel you are away from civilisation. There are beautiful, breathtaking views to be seen from both the ranch and the mountains surrounding the ranch. Every need you... More
