The suite is incredibly comfortable -- more like a posh apartment than a B & B! We met Tina, and she was very welcoming. Unfortunately, our schedule allowed us only one night there! (We did find the parking nerve-racking, though. You back out directly onto a road with limited visibility. There isn't much traffic on that road, but when the...

For the past two consecutive years my wife and I have travelled to South Kona Hideaway (SKH) during December and early January. We really love this location and are already planning when we can return again! The Island is beautiful and made more so by having a “home” to return to after a day of exploring or just staying “home”...

Owners helped us find small, local beaches for relaxing and snorkeling. L & L restaurant, night snorkeling with the mantas, in-room massage by Derek. Stay away from the tourist traps, and stay here. Pick up avacados off the ground, amazing tropical flowers. Enjoy sunsets on private balcony. Located below the vog, somthe ocean is visable from the deck, unobstructed views....

We found a jewel in South Kona Hideaway, on the big Island of HAWAII. It's the whole package! A view that will take your breath away every time you watch the sun set or look out at the lush landscape surrounding your room. The rooms are large, comfortable and oh so clean with a separate living room and kitchen area...

One night was far too little. We will definitely come again. The Lookout has stunning views of the ocean and sunset. The gardens below are loaded with coffee and papaya and plumeria blossoms. The owners dogs are charming, and the hospitality was warm from the first moment we arrived. Parking is easy on a pad at street level, though the...

We stayed at the South Kona Hideaway for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. We stayed in "the lookout" which had seriously gorgous views. The breakfast was unbelievable each morning. The owner is full of usefull information if you need help deciding what to do, but it's hard to leave because the room is gorgous!!! It's close to great snorkelling...

We stayed at the South Kona Hideaway in July and had a fantastic time. We were greeted every morning with a mouth-watering breakfast filled with tropical fruit, freshly baked bread, eggs, and Kona coffee. We loved the lush scenery and jaw-dropping sunsets from our deck as well. And it was only minutes away from some of the best snorkeling on...

South Kona Hideaway is located in a smaller side street so that place is very quiet and peaceful. They have only 2 rooms total so you will definitely have privacy while you stay there. We stayed in a lookout room (smaller room of the 2) and the view is amazing. The host, Lou, was also very nice. He left us...

The title should answer all that you need to know! Beautiful surroundings, quiet, great opportunity to do some nature watching, but most spectacular moment of my Hawaiian holiday was sitting on the balcony of The Lookout watching the sunset. The sunset was breathtaking and gave you goose bumps, The Lookout provided a perfect surronding to sit back and watch this...

What an amazing vacation made all the more spectacular by Lou and South Kona Hideaway! This is the place to stay if you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle. We stayed in the Lookout room and the views of the surrounding area and ocean are breathtaking. Do not be mistaken, this is a rural area and we...
