The experience was lovely. Owners very nice and welcoming. Breakfast not available one day - but there is an amazing little coffee shop and cafe right up the road (Menehune coffee). Relaxed atmosphere and the room was very clean. Really great experience - would return.

Absolut empfehlenswert.

I stayed here in February of 2022 but it won't let me go back that far. I come back to TripAdvisor talk about how great an experience it was. The owner was so welcoming and was happy to show us their gardens and let us try some fresh cocoa beans and whatever else they had that was ready to eat. They have a few pets that roam the grounds that are the sweetest things. The room is relaxed and has a nice large window out toward the yard and ocean. I can't remember if you see the ocean, but the view was definitely remembered as being very pleasant. We had to book with them last minute due to an issue with a different, far-less-pleasant hostel nearby, and they still accommodated us. I highly recommend staying here and taking the time to speak with the owners if they are available, they are just so welcoming and will tell you everything you need to know. They saved my trip.

We had booked a room for two nights. We stayed only one night. Here is what worked well: The rate was very reasonable. The B&B was on a coffee farm. The farm had a lot of fruit trees, including banana, avocado, orange, lemon and papaya. The owner, Ping, was exceptionally pleasant and kind, as was her husband. Ping gave us a lot of her fruit, grown on her property. Her apple bananas and her strawberry papaya were delicious. The room had free wi-if, cable TV, a refrigerator, toaster oven, coffee maker, a tea kettle, and a relatively comfortable king bed. Ping’s breakfast was quite good. She will make what you want so she is very accommodating.

What didn’t work well: The primary reason we decided to leave after one night was the exasperatingly loud and constant noise from coqui frogs. They began at sunset and were going strong until at least midnight. A restful sleep was impossible for me. That is one thing I expect when I travel. The existence of these persistently loud frogs should have been fully disclosed on the website. At a minimum, earplugs should have been offered to guests. A secondary item to note, should you decide to brave the coqui frogs, is to bring your own shampoo and bath and hand soap. None were provided. The bathroom is incredibly small and the bathroom sink is outside of the bathroom, near the kitchen counter space. I would recommend you bring your own bottle opener if you want to open a bottle of wine or beer.
While I understand coqui frogs are now part of nature here on the Big Island, guests should be advised of their presence before booking and ear plugs should be provided in the room.
