My wife and I really enjoy the bed and breakfast experience. Ka'awa Loa Plantation didn't disappoint. When we arrived, we couldn't believe the view. The pictures certainly don't do it justice. The porch was a place of respit. We loved enjoying coffee, breakfast and reading a book out on the porch. Greg and Michael were great hosts. Breakfast was great,... More

We spent our first 2 nights on the Big island here - and wished we had stayed more! The view is absolutely wonderful!! We snorkeled the next day at 2 step and swam with dolphins. Breakfast was good. Everyone is friendly but more of a eat on the lanai at your own table and chat between tables or after. Loved... More

Me and my wife stayed at the Ka'awa Loa Plantation for three nights in September, two of them in the suite and one in the cottage. Upon arriving, we were welcomed by the hosts with mango juice and ice coffee on the beautiful terrace, overlooking the ocean. The hosts Michael and Greg were genuinely friendly, and helped us with advice... More

What a beautiful house ! A bit difficult to find (don't trust GPS), a steep hill to climb but well worth it. Our hosts were very kind, the room was clean and comfortable. The view on the back balcony is amazing. And breakfast were simply great with fresh fruits, bread, delicious jam, eggs and fresh coffee all the time. If... More

A peaceful haven, a fantastic view and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. From the mango juice and macadamia nuts snack upon arrival to the bountiful breakfast, Michael and Greg were wonderful hosts. The massage on the porch and the outdoor showers were an added bonus. We would love to come back and stay longer!

We stayed at Ka'awa Loa for three nights and it was so hard to leave. It is the most perfect place to stay and certainly our favourite throughout our trip. For starters Greg and Michael (and Kathy) were AMAZING hosts. So welcoming and always willing to offer help and advice and share a yarn. The house and rooms are beautiful... More

My wife and I just got back from a wonderful stay at ka'awa loa. My wife was searching around for a nice place to stay on Kona and was initially worried about staying here... for no other reason than she always wants things to be perfect and we had nothing except the internet to guide us. Well, long story short... More

What can I say... it was home! The hosts, the lush vegetation on the property, the welcome feeling, the mansion, the room, the bathroom, the fresh flowers in the room, the bed, the views, the breakfast fruits ánd coffee grown on their own plantation... just the best. Ever. Period. I could extensively elaborate on the details of all the above... More
