Our impression of the old Hawaiian B&B after a five-day stay is that it is basically a perfect B&B. We stayed in two different rooms (after procrastinating in booking). The larger room, the Hawaiian, is absolutely colossal. It was big enough for three of us (two adults and a young child) to enjoy relaxing in at the same time. The...

Breakfast is excellent! The room was nice, clean, and comfy. The hosts were friendly and they had the cutest dog ever. They also helped us plan our trips from Hilo. Great place to stay!

Having stayed at many B & B's, this one was outstanding. The location was lovely. Each room had a private bath. The owners were very personable. We had a great breakfast with homemade scones, monkey bread, chocolate banana bread, fresh fruit, and fruit smoothies. Breakfast was served on the lanai overlooking their beautiful property. We definitely will be going back.

We really enjoyed our relaxing stay with Stewart and Lory. The room was clean and quiet and quite large. Breakfast was delicious and meeting the other guests made for interesting conversation and observations. We would go back. It is difficult for a handicapped person as even though I had checked, there were stairs to negotiate. The location is rather far...

My wife and I and our little 16 month baby stayed here for 3 nights in May 2005. Lory was very friendly and even took the time to find some toys for our baby. The breakfast is very good. We stayed here during September of 2005 which is approaching the end of the B&B season in Hilo. The B&B was great, breakfast was as described by many others, great. The fruits growing in the back yard were fabulous, my 2 year old enjoyed seeing the bananas, pineapple, oranges and jack fruit. If you stay here, check out the path...

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon. We did struggle to find it in the dark and the heavy rain, but we realised we should just have ignored the map and used the written directions. We stayed in the biggest room which is really well decorated. We had a sunken bath, separate shower, a large bed and a day...

We have stayed at several B&B's on the Island as well as on the mainland. The Old Hawaiian is our favorite. We keep going back there--5 times in the past two years--because it is so peaceful and relaxing. The breakfasts are fabulous (fresh tropical fruit, smoothies and homemade pastries). They have an extensive variety of trees, flowers and fruits growing...

My wife and I were quite happy with our stay at the Old Hawaiian B&B. We stayed in the Hawaiian room for two nights and woke every morning to a symphony of birds. Lots of bird activity going on in the morning! Lori was very nice and the breakfasts she made were awesome. Fresh fruit smoothies, hot banana bread and...
