The Old Hawaiian B&B is a beautiful property in a wonderful location. Apart from the proximity to two natural attractions that are State Parks, the rear of the property extends to short walking trails along the river's bluff. It was also very convenient to both downtown Hilo (literally only a 10-minute drive) and roads out of town that avoided downtown...

My husband and I enjoyed our 4 night stay in the Hawaiian room. The king bed is very comfortable. The room and bathroom are really large. Breakfast was great and we both looked forward to it every morning! Lory is a wonderful baker and bakes things such as muffins and scones that are to die for! The fresh fruit (a...

Was a little reluctant to stay so far out of town but the advantage is that it's in a really lovely, quiet location with a big yard that backs onto the river. You wake up to the sound of all the birds singing their hearts out. Rooms are perhaps a bit on the basic side, but breakfasts are really nice....

We stayed three nights at the Old Hawaiian B&B located in Hilo and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It is close to the town and to the lovely Rainbow Falls (well worth the visit). The house is set on a large property with all kinds of tropical fruits. Lory was away but we were more than adequately looked after by...

We stayed just two nights at Lory's lovely bnb in a nice, quiet residential part of Hilo. By far the most memorable part of the stay was Lory's wonderful breakfasts - a superb range of fruits right from their garden, home baking, smoothies etc.beautifully prepared and presented on the spacious lanai. Our bed was quite comfortable, though the shower and...

We stayed two nights in the Sunrise room which appeared more inviting in the website photos than it really was. It felt cramped and under decorated. As the photos show, the sink is w/in the room. The toilet/shower combination is in a cubical with 3/4 high walls. Room service does not include making the bed. There is no TV. The...

We can't say enough kind things about Lory and her B&B! This is the second time we've been here and will always book a room here when on the Big Island. As other reviewers have mentioned, the breakfasts, the yard, the lanai, the rooms, the neighborhood ALL were out of this world. Lory's hospitality make the place so unforgettable. The...

We stayed at the Old Hawaiian B&B for three nights at the conclusion of our trip to the Big Island. The room was spacious, and the king size bed beyond comfortable. Our room, which featured a bathroom with sunken tub, and open shower, was perfect and we looked forward to returning each day after sight-seeing & driving around the Hilo...

I can't believe this place doesn't have a higher rating! What a perfect place to call home while visiting this side of the Big Island. We stayed in the spacious Hawaiian Room with the equally large bathroom. Loved it. I think the hosts, especially Lory, have worked very hard at making their home quite special. The graceful lanai was laid...
