My husband & I had the pleasure of staying one night at this lovely B & B. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by the owner Gay. We were instantly impressed when she brought us into her lovely B & B and showed us our room. It was very nicely decorated and had it's own nicely decorated bathroom. The...

When I booked our stay in Hilo, I had no idea that this Inn was so much more than "just a place to sleep". Hilo is a great location if you like to really discover the island and go hiking, snorkeling, volcano watching, etc. But Hilo Honu Inn is just the perfect place to stay. The house is gorgeous and...

I had never stayed in a bed and breakfast before and was a little nervous, but since Hilo has few decent hotel options I decided to give it a shot. And once again Tripadvisor hit a home run with the Hilo Honu Inn!!! It was one of the highlights of our trip! We stayed in the Honu's Nest which was...

We spent two nights at this amazing B & B with a party of 10 (ranging from 5 years to 72 years old), so we got to see all of the tastefully decorated and comfortable rooms. The house and garden are wonderful, but the breakfasts served by the knowledgeable and friendly proprietor, Gay, were a highlight of our stay in...

We do not usually stay in B&B's, but in Hilo they are the best options. Our "Samurai Suite" at the top of this home was just perfect for our family of 4. The service and breakfast were terrific. The location is close to the area with all of the restaurants, but not right on top of the little downtown core...

Aside from the lovely accommodation, the attention to detail is what truly struck me in the Hilo Honu Inn. Our stay was 3 nights, 4 days. Each day we noticed something new and charming, from the hardware on the furniture to the fresh flowers hidden in nooks and crannies to the different hawaiian place settings each morning. Gay prepared a...

We spent two nights in the beautifully appointed Samuria Suite with a 360 view of Hilo Bay and in the morning, before the clouds hover over, Mauna Kea. Gay, the owner, can direct you to just about any sightseeing or off the beaten path places locals know about as well as make you feel the "Aloha" spirit of the Big...

My wife and two daughters (9 and 7) stayed a week in the Samurai Suite in June 2016. What a great experience, and location! Wonderful breakfasts, Gay had great tips about the Big Island, and was so generous with sunscreen, flashlights, maps - you name it! Would highly recommend the Hilo Honu to anyone. The center of town was an...

Lovely historic home within walking distance of downtown. Gay, the owner is very hospitable, and willing to share the history of the home and area with guests. We enjoyed learning the history of the house. It is clean and comfortable and she really cares about her guests.

My husband and I spent a night at the Hilo Honu Inn for our honeymoon and were very impressed with the accommodations. The place was clean and had a lot of character and was centrally located. We stayed at the Samurai Suite and enjoyed the peacefulness and sounds of birds. The host, Gay, is extremely friendly and helpful, but also...
