This comfortable, small hotel is just a short walk from many restaurants and other interesting destinations in downtown Hilo. The small kitchenette will be appreciated if you visit the excellent farmers market, just a short wallk away. Don't miss the beautiful tropical garden behind the hotel. When available, you can even pick your own starfruit from trees overhanging the parking...

This is a very nice, small hotel. The rooms are clean and very adequate and we appreciated the small kitchen. The staff is extra friendly and helpful, and we got so we looked forward to our return each day to tell them of our travels they had suggested. Coffee in lobby area was very good, and the banana bread or...

We recently spent one night at this beautiful location in Hilo. The setting is lovely (especially the walk out back), the room was very comfortable, the location is easy and very quiet, and the owners/staff were so very friendly and helpful. This is a perfect place to spend some time in Hilo. And, while everyone probably visits the volcano from...

Our stay here was great. We were only able to stay one night, due to our reservations on the other side of the island. We stayed in suite 18 on the second floor -- it was very nice and spacious. There were four of us and it was the only time we were on the trip where we could spread...

The service is excellent. We got some great recommendations based on the time we had on the island along with a personalized map. We liked room 14. The shower was clean and had plenty of hot water and pressure. The WiFi connection was a bit weak but useful. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could need. They were even...

This is a basic motel with clean, comfortable rooms, our room was spacious and had a small kitchen and lounge area. It's located off a quiet street close to the downtown area with shopping and restaurants and near the bay, and road to the north around the Island. Singing frogs at night were a bit fascinating, they do quiet down...

We cannot say enough great things about this place. Our best and favourite place we stayed in our 16 day trip. The entire staff is fabulous – they go out of their way to make your stay special. We stayed 4 nights and did a ton of fun activities from here. John A. assisted us in confirming what activities to...

If you're going to Hilo, this is the best place to stay. Clean, quiet, and bright, Dolphin Bay is centrally located near downtown Hilo on a beautiful property. Fresh fruit and bananas are available all day in the lobby and the frogs sing at night. Friendly and welcoming staff.

We escaped a terrible B&B and found this treasure in Hilo. Clean, large room with full kitchen, # 14 on the 2nd floor had the BEST shower for a tall man. The owner is a tall man and he believes in showers with tall ceilings...my son was very happy. The room was incredibly clean and spacious. i slept so soundly....
