My daughter and I spent 3 nights here while touring the Big Island and Maui. Absolutely fantastic!! The breakfasts - and especially dinner - was superb. We truly felt like celebrities while we were there. A little bit off the beaten path, but still a convenient location for exploring Hilo, Mauna Kea, Kona and Kohala. And, if you're looking for...

We stayed at Waianuhea for 3 nights as the last of our B &B triple stay and play. As all three B&B's have been, it was luxurious, comfortable and beautiful. Randy and everyone were welcoming and helpful in every way. Breakfast was delicious every morning, but if you get a chance to order dinner, that is spectacular! What a gem,...

During our tour on this island, we opted for the BB lodging. We were lucky: find a trilogy Waianuhea, Ka'awa Loa Plantation, Kalaekilohana. Wounderful to visit slowly this island. I write a review for the 2 last later. Waianuhea is fantastic for several points. 1. the location: on a quiet area, maybe a little bit far from the restaurant, but...

I know I may regret this review if bookings become tight next time we want to stay here, but the care taken to make this a first rate place just can't be ignored. The location is lovely, near Honokaa, about 15 miles east of Waimea and an hour's drive from Hilo. The house itself is out of the way on...

This is our second stay at this wonderful inn and it is still as wonderful as it was the first time. My husband will not stay any place else. The rooms are lovely, with comfortable beds, soft sheets with great pillows and nice fluffy towels. I love their bathrobes. Breakfast was great every morning. We were lucky enough to have...

My wife and I recently stayed five nights at Waianuhea B & B. Carol and her staff run a first class operation in all ways. We hope to return for a longer stay in the future. The views are incredible and all aspects of the operation are maintained at a very high level.

We have travelled 28 hours to Hawaii from the Netherlands and I would again travel 28 hours just to be in this place. Amazing breakfast, delicious wine hour, beautiful surroundings. Everyone is incredibly welcoming, always up for a chat. The place itself seems to attract interesting & open people. We left some of our belongings there in the big rush...

We went to Wainuhea after flying into Hilo airport. The drive up is gorgeous. Wainuhea is really an inn, not a stereotypical B&B. What I mean by that is what you aren't at someone's house. The manager has a house down the driveway and there is an office as part of the B&B. There is a very large common area...

My husband and I stayed at the Waianuhea B&B for 2 nights at the end of Feb, 2013. What an incredible place. I cannot say enough about this beautiful B&B. You are about a 15 minute drive or so to Waipio valley. The drive to the B &B is beautiful itself. Upon arriving you walk into a great room with...

This is more than a bed and breakfast. This place is a hidden treasure. The staff is incredible, location has a hot tub under the stars near Mauna Kea observatory, near snowboarding....yes....I said snowboarding, but rare to catch it at the right time. Half way between Hilo and Kona makes it the perfect place to set up shop. Award winning...

“We enjoyed the Li'olio suite due to the separation from the other rooms and the lighting from the windows in it.”

“Every room is nice so depends on price you are willing to pay and how much room you want. I saw go for the space and big room if you plan to spend any time there relaxing.”

“All of the rooms are quite cozy. Two have queen beds, two have kings, and there is a secluded cottage. One of the king bedrooms is by the kitchen, which can make it a little noisy in the morning if you like to sleep in.”

“Most of the rooms are on one side of the house. One of the rooms is off by itself, but near the kitchen. Malamalama has a great view of the property.”
