The owners at the time were superb and extremely friendly. They made many suggestion right on recommendation. Would love to go back here again one day. And hope the same people are there in charge. One day.
We have seen this beautiful bed and breakfast (from the plane) on the cliff for years and we finally got to experience it. We waited way too long. From the moment you pull up you can feel the stress of life just drop. We had...More
Staying at this inn was one of the highlights of our trip to the Big Island. It is located in Honomu which is very close to Hilo. The route to the beautiful Akaka Falls is right across the road from this inn, so you can...More
Wow! We felt like we had stepped straight into a vintage Hawaiian postcard while staying here. The room was plantation-style elegance with a lovely private lanai overlooking a gorgeous view of the ocean. The roosters next door woke us early, which was okay since we...More
A wonderful bed and breakfast. The variety and quality of the breakfasts was delicious. Really enjoyed waking up to a beautiful sunrise over the ocean. Got used to the frogs at night. Convenient to so many wonderful places - we are thoroughly enjoying our week!

Congratulations - The Big Island (BI) is a great place visit and if you have the time drive around it. Each side is different and therefore interesting. Kahala, to the North (historic in early Hawaii and Kamehameha I). Hilo (closest to the Cliff House) is a jumping off side to the active volcano. Hilo is a locals version of Hawaii and if music is available you'll have to ask. When we were there in Feb. we went to see the lava flowing into the sea. First from the land (rented bikes and rode maybe 4 mi on gravel road to see "pearls" or red/orange glowing spots across the flow and then took a boat out the next day to see a huge spout dumping lava into the sea. Very impressive! Night shows may only be found on the Kona side. Driving around through Volcano Nat'l Park, South Point, into Kona, Waimea, and back to The Cliff House. BI is a great island to visit, develop special memories, and "kick off" a long life together. This is just scratching the surface but hope it shows you both there's a fun time to be had. Enjoy and Again Congratulations!!
