The renovated rooms are lovely! Our kids loved the bench swing right outside our room. Free continental breakfast was a nice addition as most hotels in Hawaii do not offer this amenity. The staff were very pleasant. We can't wait to return!

Don't stay in bottom rooms # 5,6,7,8 section. They literally like a jail cell block. However the complimentary breakfast is good The homemade scones and muffins are to die for. About 20 minutes to the upper beaches. Not near town of Kona.

Room was beautiful with fully loaded kitchen. The twin bed was one thin mattress on wood frame which made it a very firm mattress. The TV was mounted too high for us which required us to lie down or sit with our backs against the bed. Would prefer TV at viewing level while sitting at table or on the bed....

We stayed here on Christmas day after dinner in Kailua-Kona. The room was newly renovated and very nice - large walk in shower and very comfy king-size bed. It was raining and cold in Waimea and there are no heaters in any of the hotels, so bring a sweater. It is a little difficult to find the turn off from...

We stayed 2 nights in one of the newly renovated suites. It was perfect for our family of 5 and grandparents. There was a King bed separated by beautiful big sliding doors. There were also 2 sets of bunkbeds, each with a twin on top and full on the bottom. It a full kitchen, dining room and TV area. The...

Kamuela Inn was recommended to me because I was working at a National Park--what a great find! My family traveled with me to Hawaii and we had an extra day on either side of my work project. I'm so glad we found Kamuela Inn! We stayed in one of the newly remodeled rooms--so much attention to detail with decor AND...

We stayed one night in the older section (un-renovated) of this small inn. The room we had contained a comfortable bed, but the furnishings were dated, the bathroom small and the shower very small. We were shown some of the newer rooms that have been renovated and they were lovely, and the owner would have moved us to one of...

Spent a night here to get away from my daily grind. Although a little dark on the ground floor, the room was very well appointed, clean and comfortable. My kids and husband came over for about 2 hours to play games, eat and watch TV. I was in the kitchenette room, so there was plenty of room to spread out....

I was raised in Kamuela, Hawai'i. For this visit, it was not possible to stay in my youngster years house; therefore, I reserved 3 nights at this wonderful location (my mother accompanied me on this trip). It lacks the remote locations and/or views of B&B's in town, yet the reason why we stayed - it's within walking distance of central...
