My wife and I stayed with Kenny and Kilohana for 2 days in the middle of our honeymoon while on the Big Island. They were wonderful hosts in every way. We watched the sunset on Mauna Kea the night we arrived, so we came very late, but they waited up for us and had glasses of wine waiting for us....

My wife and I just completed a three night stay at Kalaekilohana and although our expectations were very high they were exceeded beyond description. As has been described by previous reviewers this place is one of a kind. Visitors can expect the elegance and sophistication of a Four Seasons AND the individual attention that can only be found in a...

My husband and I wanted a restorative, and inspiring weekend with some new adventures on the Big Island and that is just what we found at Kalaekilohana. The hosts were gracious and accommodating, the room was elegant and comfortable, the breasfasts were delicious with local ingredients and served outside on the lana'i. We had a wonderful night's sleep in our...

We were visiting our son in the area and Kalaekilohana provided the perfect spot at the end of the day. Kenny and Kilohana were extremely gracious and helpful. We enjoyed relaxing on the Lanai at the end of the evening with a glass of wine and friendly conversation with the other guests. They also offer a cheese and fruit platter...

We have stayed at many B & B's and Kalaekilohana is one of the best! Kenny and Kilohana greeted us on their lana'i when we arrived, and from then on they couldn't do enough to make our stay wonderful, from the beautiful, spacious rooms, to the delicious and healthy breakfast served outside on the lana'i. All food was healthy, homemade,...

I stayed at Kalaekilohana on a bike around the big Island adventure. My goal was to pick especially unique places to stay at roughly every 50 miles. Of all the places I stayed, Kalaekilohana really stood out for the beauty of the house and the way Kenny and Kilohana went out of their way for guests. I needed to be...

We go over to big island yearly, this was an exceptional place for us to stay this year.. A beautiful home, filled with Aloha. Kenny and Kilohana are wonderful host and share their extensive knowledge with their guest. The food was beautifully prepared and much of it from the local area. We loved our stay at Kalaekilohana.

My husband and I stayed for a second time at Kalaekilohana last week and once again were blown away by the level of comfort, style, and hospitality we received. We already can't wait to return next year! Breakfast was again delicious and beautifully presented. Eggs and locally grown and roasted coffee was so fresh the farmers delivered it on one...

The rooms are beautifully designed and decorated. The help-yourself fridge with wine, beer and snacks was much appreciated after a long day of hiking and exploring. The hosts are warm, friendly and happy to share their love of this area. It was a treat to stay here enroute from Volcano to Kona.

This place is unique. A timber framed beautiful yellow house with huge verandah set in a remote corner of Big Island, close to the southernmost point of the US. Kilo and his partner Kenny could not have been kinder or more helpful and Kenny is a great cook too! Breakfast was outstanding - with local produce and the prettiest and...
