This little guest house is a paradise! All the lush greens and tropical planet along the drive way welcomes us into the only guest house of this cute B&B. Cindy and Rick, the host, are so nice and accommodating to our morning schedule, making sure we can have our breakfast when it's best for us. The huge lanai is awesome...

We stayed at Ohia House for three nights of superb care and for three beautiful breakfasts. Cindy and Rick seemed to know when we needed help and when to leave us alone. That’s admirable in a BnB host!
Breakfasts were a wonderful experience featuring local fruits (I love dragonfruit now… who knew?) and the taste of locally grown bananas and...

We decided to spend some of our time on the volcano side of the island. The Ohia House is 5+ miles from the town of Pahoa, We didn't find much in Pahoa but the Kilauea Crater area was active and amazing. This is a single room B&B adjoining the owner's home with a lovely large screen porch, where breakfast was...

This very well kept guesthouse is ideally placed, near the lava tree park and the small port where boats leaves to see the lava flowing into the ocean. Cindy prepares very good breakfast, and works in a Natural Food Deli Store where you can buy excellent sandwiches and smoothies if you are planning to pic-nic. The swimming pool is great...

Perfect blend of warm welcome with plenty of small attentions (picnic and snorkeling equipment, flashlight upon request etc) from Cindy & Rick while having privacy of a beautiful room and Terrace. We could use their naturally heated pool surrounded by lush forest only once as we were too busy visiting the island. Stayed 3 days but would have love to...

I can't thank Cindy enough for taking such good care of me. I arrived with an injured foot, and she immediately got me ice and arnica for the pain, and gave her KT tape to me so I could get around without much pain. Her from-scratch breakfasts are amazing, and she will sit and talk stories if you are traveling...

We had a wonderful stay at the Ohia House while exploring the Hilo side of the island. This is a great central location for the volcano, beach, etc. Cindy's friendly welcome and suggestions on island highlights were great. The delicious and plentiful breakfast is all we needed for the day until dinner. Accommodations were better than the pictures, had everything...

Big comfy lanai, nice room, good breakfast and a lot of thoughtful touches. Friendly hostess, good location, a good value for the price. We enjoyed out stay. You're close to the area to begin your 8 mile trek to the lava eruption viewing.

This place is WOW!! It starts as you drive in the driveway....lush, tropical greeness. Cindy met us right away and offered to make dinner reservations for us (as it was 5pm). I was so impressed with our accommodations! The lanai area is huge and pretty and comfortable. Our bedroom was GREAT! Let's just say I didn't miss my own bed...
