I have stayed in all kinds of hostels and campgrounds and really enjoyed many aspects of the model of this community. We had the pleasure of meeting the founder, talking in depth about the internship programmes which teach leadership and female empowerment to help with projects in different parts of the world. The signs posted around the property are educational...

Not for everyone but if you like meeting people who like to travel and generally question the status quo this is the place to visit. We had a small jungle bungalow surrounded by croakies (the famous frogs) that overlooked the ocean (even if it was 4 miles away)... What a view. Receive a small discount if you stay a week...

Absolutely one of the high points of our trip! My daughter and I stayed for 2 weeks here in the Jungle Cottage on the grounds of this sustainable community. The people were friendly, interesting, and open to all backgrounds and types. The accommodations are rustic and in a good way. However, if you're looking for hotel/motel type accommodations with maid...

Hedonisia is a lot of fun if you like more adventurous travelling. It's definitely nothing like a hotel and if you prefer staying in hotels, don't bother with this place. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in Ocean View hut and it was great. It's true jungle living so you have to be prepared for constant dampness and...

You can be a regular tourist or hippie backpacker and have the time of your life here! Keep an open mind and learn to live partially off grid and you'll want to come back over and over again. Great staff of Intern Trainees who are learning the hospitality business. If sleeping outdoors in a funky hut or tent is your...

My family stayed here for two nights and have awesome memories that will last a lifetime. We had the kahuna cabin which had a super comfortable king bed and our small boys shared a twin. We cohabited with geckos, fell asleep to the frogs and woke up to the roosters. My boys loved their little pee-zone outside the cabin and...

I really enjoyed my stay at Hedonisia: a beautiful place, warm and welcoming people and good accomodations. I stayed at the ocean view cabin, from where I could - what's in a name ;) - see the ocean. Hedonisia is built on an ancient crater, now that's something quite extraordinary. Beautiful trees and flowers everywhere and if you're lucky you'll...

We enjoyed our four night stay at Hedonisia. We stayed in the Kahuna Cabin which has a comfortable king size bed, a table and chairs, electricity, wifi and a nice view. It also has a single bed. I loved hearing the frogs (they are quite loud) and other sounds from the jungle at night. Due to the large screened area...
