Stayed here for only one night but Lenny welcomed us as if we were long-time friends rather than strangers he'd never met before. We chose Volcano Fern Forest Retreat based on the reviews of other Trip Advisor raters, and are so glad we did! This place was absolutely beautiful, immaculately clean, quiet and secluded, and Lenny had thought of every...

If you want to stay near the volcano in a place surrounded in peace and forest lushness, this your place. It sits in the middle of the fern forest and literally is at the very end of the road thereby butting up to a natural rainforest preserve. The room was decorated with Hawaiian taste and it had all of the...

Was very well maintained, and the hospitality was superb. The view was more than I could ever expect thank you for making me feel right at home. And also was able to tour a 500 year old lava tube with Active Lava Hawaiian Tours!! Ernie Aviles

So quiet and peaceful especially after Waikiki. Lenny received us very well indeed. The room was large and comfortable with lots of personal touches. I thought my wife would be nervous about the isolated location - but she wasnt at all and just loved it. Best nights sleep we had in six Hawaii locations.

We stayed a few nights while touring Volcano National Park. The location of the property is secluded and relaxing. The room was well furnished and comfortable. We loved having a fireplace in the room for the chilly evenings. This was our first stay at a Bed and Breakfast so the experience was new to us. Lenny is a wonderful host...

My wife and I stayed here while touring the volcano area. It's a little off the beaten-path, but a great place to retreat to. Home is wonderful, Lenny is a perfectionist and you can see it in this place. Everything you need and feels like "mom was just there". CHECK GOOGLE EARTH and find the place before going there. Phone...

Stayed three nights in Volcano and can highly recommend this retreat. The rooms are large and tastefully furnished, excellent mattress and pillows. Small but adequate and well-appointed kitchenette allows the possibility for making meals, although I ate dinner at the nearby Thai restaurant. Excellent mattress and pillows, along with the quiet setting insures a good night´s sleep. The gas fireplace...

Lenny is a great host. You will actually get a feeling that you are in the middle of a rain forest. The room we stayed for 2 nights was Volcano suite. It was very nicely furnished. Lenny did a great job in paying attention to details and also in preparing breakfast. He provided us binoculars, torch and umbrella to have...

The moment you arrive in this rainforest retreat, you feel not only welcome, no, you feel home! Lenny is such a great host and makes you feel great! The only downside was that we had to leave after one night only! If you get the chance to visit Volcano, please visit Lenny!

What a fantastic place to stay! Our room was very spacious, extremely clean, nicely decorated and so comfortable and relaxing. The grounds are beautiful, with lovely plants and trees that create a peaceful atmosphere and secluded setting. Lenny is a wonderful host and really has thought of everything. We followed his emailed directions and had no trouble finding the place....
