We were lucky enough to spend three nights at Treehouse Skye, which is a castle in the rain forest a few short miles from Volcanoes Natl Park. This place is incredible; clearly a labor of love. Skye built the Treehouse from salvaged materials, and his attention to detail is evident everywhere. He even impressed my surly 14 year old with...

This is a most unique experience. It was myself (63), my 27 year old daughter and my two 16 year old male foreign exchange students. Skye designed and build the treehouse from all recycled material. It's solar powered, no air conditioning and none is needed. There is a space heater downstairs for the morning chill and we did use it...

I love the headliner, "Why can't I rate this higher?" I try really hard to make my guests TreeHouse stay as amazing and memorable as I can and I so love their happy faces when they first see where they're eating, sleeping and living for the next couple days but then when they have to leave hearing the regret they...

My wife and I were fortunate enough to spend 2 nights in the treehouse. Me Tarzan, you Jane. Best time ever. Skye is awesome with his knowledge and great personality he is a "Keeper." Literally you want to hang out with him as much as possible. The treehouse is real, not a pseudo want to be. The jungle is your...

It was so fun actually having Tarzan and Jane stay in my TreeHouse. TreeHouse enthusiasts are so easy and fun loving I feel like they are my friends immediately. Folks that want a real experience of living in a TreeHouse right in among nature with Giant Tree ferns brushing up against the windows and the quiet sound of rain on...

This was an unforgettable experience - to wake up in the rain forest canopy, with the rain and birds as the only noise... just awesome. On the practical side, Skye Peterson (the owner) is extremely welcoming and accommodating. He met us to check-in quite late in the evening, had everything ready, and even gave suggestions for our trip. We were...

Because I lived in the TreeHouse for years I know what's coming when these guests that arrive in the night wake up in the morning and find themselves high in the forest with the birds singing and the early sun light lighting up the tops of the trees right next to them and the giant tree ferns, some 30 feet...

A truly amazing one-of-a-kind experience that I would do again and again! The treehouse has all of the amenities of any hotel or motel only so much better! You want to get away from it all and understand the true meaning of "Hawaiian Time" this is it. Skye is an incredible host and he knows all of the places to...

We stayed for 2 nights to finish off our 2 week honeymoon on the Big Island. We wish we could have stayed longer! Treehouse #2 is amazing. You can tell Skye put his heart and soul into building this creation. We loved the bed looking up at the stars, and the balcony in the trees was amazing. You are located...

We stayed two nights (wish it was more) September 7,8 and it was the highlight of our trip. This place is so unique and incredible. The artistic design is so thoughtful and creative. Two nights wasn't enough time take in all of the details. We spent most of our time in the treehouse, watching volcano DVDs, listening to cool CDs...

My family of 4--my husband, myself and 2 teenage boys--were here for 2 nights this summer. What a great decision it was for us to pick this place--so much attention to detail and genuine craftsmanship. There was ample space for us, and the beds and futon were all very comfortable. And, you're literally just a few easy miles/minutes from the...

Our family of 4 stayed in the treehouse for 3 days. It was exceptional! Our boys, ages 11 and 13, loved it. The adults started each day with coffee on the walkway and enjoyed the peacefulness. The many windows brought the outside in. The treehouse includes all he amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Skye provided good guidance and a...

There are no words to describe the wonderful experience of staying in this treehouse so painstakingly crafted by Skye. I loved watching the stars from our bed, and just breathing the green air. So convenient to the incredible Volcano National Park. It was just my husband and I, but there's room for a kid or two. Thank you Skye for...

“It's only 1 treehouse. It can get a bit humid like in any rainforest, so pack a fleece to be comfy. however, the fireplace is great and the thick blankets and doonas bring all the warmth you need.”
