This is our second time staying at the Volcano Inn and we loved it. My partner and I were pleasantly surprised when we found out that breakfast was now included for free. Better yet, it was delicious and included fresh locally grown island fruits and coffee. Our corner window room featured stunning views of the native Ohia forest surrounding us....

We stayed here for one night at the end of our time on the Big Island. We were spending a day at the Volcano National Park both before and after sundown and we wanted to stay locally before heading to the Hilo airport at 5:30am. The place is pretty. We stayed in one of the rooms across the highway which...

Volcano Village sits at an elevation of four thousand feet and is situated in a dense and humid rain forest. We do our best to combat the effects of this environment which includes having dehumidifiers in all rooms. If we receive a complaint about mold or mildew in the air, we offer to change rooms, usually to an elevated one...

Stayed here in October 2014. Location is great, close to Volcanoes National Park. However, the room we had was very damp and stuffy. It was raining so we had to keep the windows closed. We ran the dehumidifier but it made the room even more stuffy (and hot too). Bed was old, pillows were very thin. Breakfast was fine -...

My husband and I stayed here along with another couple. We rented a house in Mauna Kea but wanted to go to the other side of the island and have enough time to enjoy it. This is definitely not the fanciest place you will find, and it is much more like a B&B than a hotel, but it was exactly...

Our party of 3 adults stayed in the Volcano Inn for 4 nights in August, and enjoyed our stay very much. It's a very comfortable, low-key B&B type of place. We had an upstairs room with a king and a queen bed. Very clean and homey. The inn is in Volcano Village, just a few minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes National...

Stayed for one night. Very clean, helpful staff. Breakfast was tasty. Bed and pillows were flat and uncomfortable. Linens are old. Dehumidifier was noisy, intended to run all night. Don't think I could have stayed there for two nights. It's an eco lodge with solar power and a nice setting, wish I could have given it a higher rating but...

We were staying at the Kona Coast Resort,on the other side of the island. We wanted to spend more than just a day in the National Park and we had reservations for the next day for a helicopter tour and also wanted to see the Caldera at night, and we didn't want to drive the 98 miles back in the dark....

The Volcano Inn reminds me of a very cool eco friendly B&B. The rooms were small, but very nice. Inn is located among lots of vegetation and forest. Very cool. Breakfast was included and was very basic fruit and breads, but all homemade and very good. Staff even packed us a picnic for our hike later that day. Shoes off...
