Our Lotus Cottage was private, beautifully decorated, and tucked away in lush vegetation. The host was warm and friendly without being intrusive. We started each morning with a lovely breakfast before heading out to the national park and other sights within minutes. We would stay here again if given the opportunity to visit the Big Island. It was a perfect...

Lotus Garden cottages and surroundings are relaxing and serene. The décor of our room was interesting and fun to look at and learn about the country it represented. It's close to the volcano park entrance and a good restaurant in the Kailua Lodge. John, the proprietor, was a delight along with Chu Chu the cat. Will return again.

Their are four units on this property. They are all within view of each other and the owner's residence (two are attached to it). It is a quiet, peaceful place, but not quite as secluded as I expected. Breakfasts are very good. Luggage is an issue--the paths are gravel and you encounter stairs, so wheeled bags don't work well. Do...

This is a perfect location to stay if you want to explore Volcano National Park. It is literally 5 minutes away from the entrance. These are lovely cottages that are very private and beautifully decorated. The rooms are very clean . Our room had a private patio out back where we enjoyed a delicious breakfast that was provided. John Kim,...

Lovely private cottages, tasteful Asian decor. Moe like staying in someone's very nice home. Of course the highlight is the breakfast delivered to the room at 8 am! Host is anxious to please. Quiet and private!

We stayed in the White Lotus Suite which provided plenty of room for the two of us. The suite was spacious and situated in a lush tropical setting. The daily breakfast was delicious and the environment was calm, quiet and peaceful. John is a very gracious and accommodating host. We would definitely recommend staying at Lotus Garden Cottages.

Lotus Garden Cottages is a fabulous boutique B&B very close to Volcanoes National Park and Volcano Village, which I completely recommend to anyone looking to visit the park, or find a zen and relaxing space to simply "get away". The breakfast of fresh baked goods and fruit was fantastic, and the owner and his staff were very friendly and helpful...

Very private, quiet place to while away the hours. Great breakfast brought to the suite each morning, lots of offers of additional services if we wanted them. Only regret is that it did not rain while we were there. Cat guarded our door.

We had an amazing time at Lotus Gardens. By far the best place we stayed on the Big Island. The room was big - bedroom, kitchen, gorgeous bathroom - and the service was top notch. The breakfasts were always fresh and lots of options, and the suggestions for hikes and dinner restaurants were spot on. Cannot recommend highly enough!

We were pleasantly surprised by the tranquil and beautiful setting of these cottages. It is very green and lush, with bright flowers and lovely outside seating areas. The rooms are decorated to a very high standard. In fact it is hard to imagine that a mere 2 or 3 miles away is the Volcano National Park, with it's spectacular active...
