We stayed in the Haleakala room (November 2016) for a couple days while we spent time exploring the National Park. It was the perfect, quiet place to come back to after a long day of hiking and exploring. We rarely saw the other guests, so you felt like you had the entire place to yourself. Julie was there when we...

Last month (October, 2016) we stayed at the Volcano Village Lodge. Prior to making reservations we reviewed Trip Advisor comments which aided our selection of this lodge. It’s great for couples, both young and old. This place is unique. It’s literally in the midst of the fern forest and 4,000 feet above sea level. Some evenings can be chilly. The...

My husband and I stayed at Volcano Village Inn to celebrate our anniversary. I in the luxury travel industry so always have high expectations and we loved how special and unique the rooms were at the Inn. We arrived at night so it was already dark (recommend doing the sunset lava boat tour) and then woke up to a stunning...

What a gorgeous and unique place to stay! The staff was very friendly and nice, and the grounds are just so beautiful. The cat was cool too. We stayed in the Mauna Loa because it was the only room they had left on a Friday night (and this is also one of the few places that doesn't require a two-night...

Since it was already around 6:30pm by the time we arrived in Volcano Village, the roads are quite dark. As with many of the smaller roads we traveled on during this trip, the path to the property is narrow but it is paved and there are street signs to help guide you. Luckily, I got signal on my cell phone...

It was as if we transcended time and space and landed in our own private corner of the universe submersed in the tranquility of the rain forest. We loved the delicious breakfasts and snacks and the many other amenities provided. The grounds were gorgeous...we especially loved seeing pitcher plants and pheasants. However, the best part of the stay was the...

This lodge was incredible, very peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast was delicious and the cabin was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Waking up to a view of the rain forest was an amazing experience. The only drawback was that we stayed only one night. Next time will stay longer.

My husband and I stayed at the Volcano Village Lodge for two days to explore the National Park and the Hilo area. We stayed in the Haleakala cabin. It was clean, peaceful, beautifully appointed and the perfect getaway. The breakfast was delicious, filling and there were plenty of snacks to take with us on our adventures. Sitting on the deck...

We have stayed at Volcano Village Lodge twice now and know we will return. It is peaceful, hardly anyone around, except for staff and the rooms are wonderful. Pretty view of rain forest from your window, great breakfasts, usually. We had plenty of storage space in our unit. There is also a huge DVD selection in the library, and lots...

Unique wood cabins tucked in a rainforest atmosphere. Clean, excellent service. Everything was set up awaiting our arrival, down to the table being set, snacks put out. We stayed a single night here to get an early start on Volcano National Park, which is minutes away.
