We stayed here for a night in room 3. We found the room to be comfortable for the 3 of us. The location was perfect for visiting Volcano National Park (VNP). Although the turn off the freeway can be easily missed, if you find it during the day, you should be able to locate it after dark when returning from...

See my recent review. I wanted to add that the location is beautiful. I would have given it a 2 or 3 rating but for the smell in the room. The place needs much work. The carpet needs ripped up. Had the cost been about half, you would expect some issues. Not worth the 260./night.

The room was really comfortable and very clean. Shannon and Danny made sure that our room was stocked with fresh fruit, yoghurt, granola, orange juice, lilikoi butter, cakes and more each day. The on site lava tube is absolutely amazing! Shannon and Danny were also very helpful with advice about where to go and what to see.

We stayed here for two nights in the family suite. We found the room to have a funky vibe but we found it comfortable. We loved being able to sit on the porch and watch and listen to the rain, the surrounding area is beautiful and you really feel removed from the real world. The location was perfect for visiting...

Room was roomy with fantastic decor. Bathroom and shower were exceptional. Food provided was an added bonus and so tasty. The lava tube tour was amazing and unguided. Would definitely stay here again. The volcano is quite active with lava flowing into the sea

As other reviewers have said this place is a dump! We stayed in the "Honeymoon Suite". The room smelled so horribly of mold and mildew we could hardly sleep. We slept in our clothes. The water pressure in the tub for taking a bath was so low you'd need to turn it on hours before you want to bathe. All...

We were lucky to be in the brand new room, where you can see from the inside the lava tube. The landlord managed to make a beautiful and luxury room, in harmony with nature. Very well furnished, charming and comfortable. Home cooked muffins for breakfast, yogourts, soup tea and coffee. Very convenient location to visit the parc. Close to restaurants,...

This lodge is very convenient to Volcano National Park, about a 5-minute drive. It is near the junction of Hwy 111 and 148 where you turn right coming from Kona onto a one-lane road and go 4 driveways to the property. Then you go on a dirt driveway to the back of the property. Shannon and Dan, the owners, are...

We started our two week trip to Hawaii on the Big Island and this was the perfect place to stay. We had the rather fabulous room 6. The bed and room in general was the most comfortable we've had in our three accommodations (we also went to Maui and Honolulu) and the bed was so comfortable I slept 12 hours...

It is very difficult to find this hotel especially if you arrive there after dark. You would go by very dark road in the woods (no lights at all), then you would have turn into dark and narrow driveway (she road goes up and down, and you should be careful not to hit your car by the big tree branch...
