This lodge is ideAlly placed for the volcano national park. 5 mins away. It's set in the rain forest and if you like the noise of frogs but also the tranquility of the forest you will love it. Each room has good beds and bathroom and a fridge and microwave. There is no air con though so it's a bit...

Aloha. We keep getting mixed up with other properties here in Volcano. You may have been writing about Chalet Kilauea? Kilauea Lodge has a full restaurant on the premises. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Not all rooms have fridges and microwaves. The Lodge is on the main Volcano Village road and the buildings are painted...

This is a great place to stay when you are going to see the volcano. This is an old YMCA lodge that has been re-done and is so homey and wonderful! They have many little details that are included to make your stay even nicer; for example a foot roller/massager for after a long day hiking, robes, umbrellas, the hot...

Kilauea Lodge is a classic setting in the village of Volcano with a single comfortable dining room and a lovely warm and inviting atmosphere. We ordered the brie appetizer, which is crusted in coconut and then lightly fried, served with a papaya salsa. It was delicious. I ordered the steak. It was cooked very well, with a sautéed mushroom sauce,...

We stayed in the Kimura room for a night and found it to be a lovely experience. Bed was very comfortable, and the room having a fireplace was a nice touch in the chilly nights. The restaurant is fantastic, as we had a delicious dinner and enjoyed the included breakfast. Parking was easy, and it was a short drive to...

Mahalo for your Review. The Kimura room is one of my favorites. I love how the apapane will sing right outside the back window. The room was named for a famous Japanese craftsman in our area. Aloha Lorna

Located only 2 miles from volcanoes NP. Very convenient to watch lava after sunset. Breakfast is superb with plenty of choices. Rooms and common areas are decorated well by the innkeeper, but our room has a moldy smell possibly due to the humidity.

Aloha. Thank you for your review. Interesting comment about a moldy smell and I would love to know which room you were in. I am allergic to mold and try very hard to be on top of it. Our housekeepers are aware too. and Yes, we have been through a damp couple of weeks and that could be part of...

Three of us - two adults and a teenager - enjoyed our stay here. We recommend it for several reasons: 1) we could book a single night 2) lovely lush, rustic Hawaiian ambience 3) full breakfast is included and was terrific and would have run us $50 anywhere else, so made the price even more cost effective 4) 5 min...

We were still very tired (suffering from jetlag) when we got a very warm welcome in this lodge. Luckily our room was already available, since we arrived quite early in the morning. We got lots of information from the lovely lady at the reception: detailed map of the volcano park, advise on Mauna Kea tours. Thank you for that. The...

I was debating between 2 and 3 stars but a 2 says "poor" and I wouldn't describe my experience that badly. First, the positive: Good location - you're right near the entrance to Volcano National Park (maybe 5 min away driving) so it's convenient if you're going there. Nice rooms - very clean, bed was suuuuuper comfortable and the pillows...

Ahhh Welcome to 'You Never Know What the Weather is Doing' syndrome. Used to be we could count on rain in the morning, clear in the afternoon. Then another part of the year 'clear in the morning, rain in the afternoon'. Now, it's chaotic. I'm so sorry the housekeepers didn't open the windows and let the cool air in before...

We stayed in Tutu's Place, a 2 bedroom cabin called with a family room and kitchen. It was picture-perfect and suited our group well. The bathrooms was nice and they had these amazing coconut shampoo/conditioner/lotion. There were board games and DVDs for entertainment. We loved the little gas fireplace in the corner, it gets chilly in the evening. I wish...

Kilauea Lodge is located in Volcano village which is about a 10 min drive from the Volcano National Park. It's a cute bed and breakfast lodge. The staff were friendly and the resturant was pretty good. Our room was pretty big. It had a small fireplace. The shower stall was a little tiny but doable. The furniture a little outdated...

“We stayed in room number 4 and we added a 2nd night and stayed in room number 9. Equally great rooms but if we had to choose It would be number 4 just because of the fact that it was upstairs so very private. Could keep our shades and window open the whole time we were there.”
