We stayed there Jan 25-Feb 1, 2014. It was our second stay--first one was August 2010. The resort was more crowded due to Winter vacationers, but the service was still good in every respect. Windy weather and threat of rain cause the Laua show with the fire dancers to be moved indoors, but they asked us to step outside later...

We booked through Hotwire, and felt lucky to get the Marriott. Though on arrival our room was a bit disappointing. We think was an accessible room, which meant that there were no sitting chairs in the room, and it wasn't possible to adjust the showerhead to a height appropriate for my spouse to shower. (he's 5'11") Also, we never got...

I did not have good experience with the staff. Escalated to Mr Salat the director of operations who would not honor a Marriott hotel credit coupon. If you have a promotion or award that you expect you may be out of luck. I have had five different people look at the coupon and all believe it should have been honored....

Aloha and thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding your coupon. We work hard to make sure that information is available to all our guests in advance. Marriott offers numerous promotions and unfortunately these discounts and coupons are specific to certain geographic areas and hotel brands. Our restaurant prices are in...

We stayed for a week with a rental car and drove all over the island. It was a nice room on the 5th floor with a nice view. Be ware that there is a $25 dollar fee after you check in that covers parking and internet, and several other things we didn't use.... Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was pretty...

We stayed ten nights at this hotel/resort. Our stay was great. We used it as our central location for traveling around the island. The Expedia representative was helpful with setting up some excursions. We did budget ourselves. The restaurant is expensive, including the breakfast so we ate every day at the market near the hotel. The pool and beach access...

We had a great two weeks here. No it's not the Ritz (did that in Maui) but there was a really nice vibe to the place. The rooms were very comfortable, kept very clean, and we enjoyed our balcony overlooking the pool/ocean. The beds were super comfy too. We especially loved walking beyond the beach in front of the hotel...

Best fire dancer anywhere! Wed night luau food was ok and show was good. And the fire dancer was just incredible! Hotel is nice. Everything is overpriced of course. We used the room as a base to tour the whole island but could easily have stayed in resort the whole time and enjoyed lovely pools and beach. A

We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 nights stay. Had a room on the 6th floor overlooking the pool and restaurant, but noise was not a problem. Bed was very comfortable with Marriott linens. We noted ample drawer space in the king room. The mini fridge and safe were especially nice amenities and there were plenty of outlets for charging our photo...

Waikoloa is very far from Kona. It is actually, a $60 cab drive from the Airport (18 miles). Once you're in Waikoloa, visiting Kona can get expensive (about $90 cab ride) and time consuming. On a weeknight, everything in Kona closes at around 8:30pm, except for a couple of restaurants. I wouldn't even bother going there for dinner. However, there's...

Although the hotel could use some sprucing up the location and beach are fabulous! We stayed in the cabana which was large, comfortable and private. Breakfast was wonderful- many choices and options! We rented a car- necessary and got a special travelers package to park with discounts at breakfast- good deal! Pools are super and the beach activities were great!...
