I am a little bit behind writing this review as this year has been a whirlwind of moving for us, after my husband D returned from Afghanistan. We love Kalaheo and the peaceful town that goes along with it. The Bamboo Jungle House was awesome. It was our own piece of paradise from the swimming pool, to the hot tub,... More

The hospitality of the owner was enchanting... Terry enjoyed sharing stories of the island's history and culture giving us more personal connection with the island... Our morning breakfast was a delicious variety of home cooked foods and local fruits... the portions are modest and not that of a breakfast buffet... If your looking for a high end touristy place to... More

This is one of those places that is more than it should be. Snuggled away in a suburban residential area, this is an elegant, professionally run establishment. Our room was excellently appointed and the common room upstairs, where breakfast is served, provides a wealth of information about the island, as well as numerous little knick-knacks to purchase - all discretely... A wonderful quiet place (only three guest rooms!). It is perfect, if you don´t want to be in the crowds of Poipu! Our room was very romantic, we had a spacious private lanai, looking into the lush garden, enough closet space and private bathroom. Ear plugs are kept ready, in case the roosters from the neighborhood disturb you early in... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Bamboo Jungle House. Our room had everything we needed, and was very nicely decorated. The location was very convenient to Poipu (where we ate a number of times) and other great locations on the southern side of the island. Lucy and Terry were wonderful hosts. We stayed at a couple more B&B's on other... More

If you are looking for a calm, clean, friendly B & B, this is the place for you. Terry and Lucy will show you how to enjoy the wonders of Kauai with their words of advise and with the example of their own lifestyle. The Bamboo Jungle House smells of the flowers of the island and whispers with the rush... More

Terry and Lucy were wonderful sources of information, friendly, and provided a Great breakfast (home made waffles, egg dishes and fresh fruit plates). We had special diets that they accomodated beautifully. They take pride in their B&B, which is well kept, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. I loved hanging out on our private lanai and walking through their gardens. They... More

This place looked great on the website. But the pictures were very deceiving. The waterfall was water that ran into the hot tub, which I would call a lukewarm tub without any jets! The owners were in our room every day while we were out. Felt a bit intrusive! Terry seemed like he did not want to be bothered at all... More

We always appreciate receiving comments from guests. While it is nice to hear good things, guest’s negative comments help us to see ourselves in a new way and change those things that may not be working. With that in mind, I will address this guest's points. This guest commented about the photos on our website being deceiving. That is the... More

I had a wonderful stay at Bamboo Jungle House - the central location was perfect for exploring Kauai - easy to go West, South or East; the North shore is a bit far but still easy to get to. Terry and Lucy are great hosts; Terry makes delicious breakfasts and Lucy is a great resource for what, where, when to... More

We had a wonderful time at the Bamboo Jungle house, and having agonised when looking through the details online we chose the Garden Suite. After we had been on a tour of the house on the last day after everyone had checked out, we felt that all the rooms had advantages and disadvantages but overall we were pleased that we... More
