I found this hotel on Tripadvisor, it was rated #4 for hotels in Kapaa. We had a wonderful time. Everybody is so friendly, made us feel comfortable and at home. And it is right on the coast, walk out the door and you are there. We went to sleep listening to the ocean. The only thing that would be better...

We stayed at a resort prior to staying here. If you expect a resort then stay somewhere else but expect to pay 3 times as much. The rooms are very nicely decorated with cool ceiling fans and the lanai/view of the ocean was great! The area is nice but also not like a resort town however there are some cool...

We stayed here as part of our island hoping honeymoon, after the hustle and bustle of Waikiki it was nice to chill out a little bit. The rooms are clean and the ocean view room was amazing. The breakfast did run out so you need to be there early. Chickens running around was cute. Owners are nice and chatty and...

The rooms have been nicely remodeled and are very cozy. The location, right next to the beach, was perfect. However, we did not like the way the staff treated us. It seems like once you book your room, they become fairly aloof and unhelpful, especially if you have any issues with the booking. When we booked our reservations, we were...

We always enjoy our stay at the Coral Reef. It's a safe, clean, well-furnished hotel. It's in a great location where restaurants and shops are within walking distance. The managers, the Tandals, and their staff always make us feel like family. The setting it beautiful and we can't wait to visit again. Eric and Karen, Eagle River, Alaska

My fiance' and I stayed at the Hotel Coral Reef Resort from June 6-13. We had stayed at a timeshare in Princeville from May 30 to June 6 and it was horrible (fresh towels every 4 days, no AC, etc.) so we needed another place. Owners Rhonda and George are gracious and hospitable. They made our stay so wonderful and...

I based my decision to stay at hotel coral reef solely on tripadvisor reviews. Starting with the great things, I would say George and Rhonda were incredibly accommodating. Each morning during the wiki wiki (I think that's what they called the continental breakfast), I enjoyed conversing with George and the other guests about their Kauai experiences. Each morning from 7-9,...

I had to say average so as not to mislead people, but I definitely liked staying at the hotel. If you are expecting a resort or 5 star then you will be definitely disappointed. This is a small two story 21 room local hotel. It is just on the edge of Kapaa's Tourist zone. It is close enough to enjoy...

We stayed one night here between lodgings on Kauai. ( see my review of Aloha Beach Hotel) May 22, 2013 This is an older hotel that has been completely updated. We requested an ocean view room, a bit more expensive but worth it. The rooms are small and have massive furniture, we had a king size bed, but we still...

Pros: set in the very nice Kapa'a town, our room (front ocean) was very nice, quite big and with a nice view on the ocean, we didn't test the beach in front of the hotel but the lawn with comfortable chairs was nice Done: everything that maid us feel more like in a rental than an actual hotel: the staff...
