This property is well located for shops, restaurants, and access to beaches and activities. It is also right on the ocean with beautiful views up and down the coast although swimming is not recommended due to sharp rocks. The hotel itself is in poor shape. Paint is peeling, outdoor carpets are torn, rust is on metal, Windows haven't been washed...

This place is the biggest dump I've ever seen. Place is dirty and falling apart and it's a shame because it's in a nice location. Do not stay here until they renovate!!! Pool area and beach walk is fine. But the holes in the walls and the uncomfortable twin beds and the run down condition is appalling.

Staying at Castle Mokihana for one night. It's an interesting place and kind of reminds me of the past...definitely not the present. But that's okay, just a bit dated. The grounds and the location are amazing although I definitely wouldn't swim in the sea here. It's a bit scary. The good news is there is now wifi throughout the whole...

I didn't expect no TV in the room. Or WiFi only in the lobby. Many better places right around there for slightly more money. Must have been a nice place decades ago. Pool was nice and very clean. But my room still had a stove vent hood hanging.

The room itself was a little dated, but it didn't matter, the views were amazing. All the rooms were ocean view and it was a very peaceful setting. I'd recommend it if you are looking for a quiet place to get away to.

I had a wonderful time at the Mokihana in Kapaa in room 205. Not fancy but a decent clean place. Clean room, comfortable bed, big bathroom, very nice balcony{lanai},pretty pool and a nice area with chairs and grounds to relax. Right on a beach that is not good for swimming since it is rocky but the sounds of the waves...

It's all pretty much been said about this hotel. It is in a great location right on the ocean and you can go for an excellent walk and listen to the waves crash in. It appeared that our room did have some upgrades at some point. The linoleum on the floor was good and the bathroom vanity was new within...

We got caught needing a night and this place was reasonable last minute. The rooms are large and tje beds were confrotable enough. There is no TV and wireless is only available in their lobby. It's an old place that probably needs some work it won't get, but honestly at the rate they charge I'd have been happy if we...

No TV, no internet. Everything wood is rotten, everything metal is rusted. Smells like a gas station restroom. It was the last room on the whole island of Kauai when I needed a room for business trip, would have been better to find a beach park and sleep in the car. But it's right on the ocean!

My husband and I stayed here for a night on our honeymoon before settling on the southern part of Kauai. We knew we would be getting a budget hotel, but we at least thought we would feel safe. There were groups of people smoking in the parking lot when we checked in, a security officer who looked pretty easy to...
