did not like this hotel and would not stay again. This hotel has a grand entrance, lobby, and pool area that I felt is really all a facade for a poor, old, musty outdated hotel. Don't get sucked in!

Thank you for your detailed review. I apologize for the unpleasant smell and size of bathrooms in our Kahili Tower. We will be undergoing a soft renovation that will remove any of the allergens in our guestrooms for the future.

Amazing experience, beautiful grounds, spectacular Roman style pool. Tucked away from the hubbub but close enough to shops and lots of eating options. The beach is in a protected bay so waves are subtle. Hotel rooms are average in size, nicely decorated with Hawaiian decor,...More
What an exceptional property! Everything from beauty of the grounds to the staff was an amazing experience! This is by far one of the most beautiful pools and settings in Hawaii. I was very impressed with the beauty surrounding the hotel as well as the...More
My family stayed at the Kauai Marriott resort for two weeks at the end of June into July. We were originally booked to stay at another Marriott on the island but some bad tripadvisor reviews scared us in to upgrading to this resort. I’m so...More
This property was originally built in the 1950s and has been managed by multiple other hotel chains before becoming a Marriott property. The buildings are old. But, the hotel has done a nice job of keeping the rooms fresh and the overall property in good...More

Hi Sharon, My trip was somewhat complicated. My husband I were in Australia at the time and due to fly out to Fiji in the next few days. A cyclone hit Fiji 2 days before we were due to fly out of Sydney so I cancelled the Fiji leg of our trip. We were due to fly out of Fiji direct to Hawaii but because of the cyclone I just went online to trip advisor and did a search for Kauai and package flights and hotels came up in the search. I changed our Fiji dates to go to Kauai instead. I had to juggle other flights to compensate for the cyclone but it all worked out great. The resort pleasantly exceeded our expectations. I will go back. There are numerous dive shops scattered around the island in various locations.
