Nice little resort. Friendly staff, security on site and close to everything. Great lawn to watch the sunset and relax on. We saw turtles on shore and had an overall good time. Cons-some rooms are under construction and laundry is expensive.

Mahalo for taking your time to write this review. I checked prices at a local laundry mat 3.2 miles away, we are $.50 more to wash ($3.00). To dry they charge $1.00 for 5 minutes and $.25. for 3 minutes after your 5 minutes has expired. Our drying time lasts 35 minutes for $3.00. The prices are set by the... More

We stayed for one week on Maui at Mana Kai. At first sight we loved the location, a beautiful beach, pool, best sunsets and only a mile to shops and Restaurants of Kihei. We though the rooms were very clean and well appointed. We stayed in one of the resort owned rooms. I have seen some reviews about the privately... More

We love Mana Kai and this condo (Unit 204) was particularly beautiful! We've done to Maui for many years and continue to come back to Mana Kai as we feel it's one of the best places to stay on the island! The beach is beautiful, the lounge chairs on the grass provide a relaxing, comfortable place to relax by the... More

Aloha and thank you for your great review. I will pass this review on to the owner of 204, which is not in the on-site-rental program. I have seen the interior of 204 and the owners have done an excellent job of remodeling it a few years back. You know how to contact them for a return visit. More

The hotel rooms in the Mana Kai Maui have great views southward down the beach and the rooms themselves are nice, with kitchens and balconies, but not spacious. We had no sound issues from neighbors or the beach or restaurant (5 Palms) below us, despite being light sleepers who can be disturbed by noises in the night. The staff are... More

Mahalo for taking your time to write this review. Good to hear you were not affected by any noise issues, I have had guests remark that the waves hitting the sand was too loud. Yes, the majority of the time there is only one clerk on duty. As you know we don't have any resort fees, we have free wifi,... More

This is probably the sixth time we visited the Mana Kai Maui. We've always found it to be a great family hotel. Can't beat the location, pool and grounds. Try the happy hours at The 5 Palms. Love the sushi and half price drinks. Snorkeling is great out front and we did lots of boogie boarding with some good surf.

We recently stayed at Mana Kai in Apt. 608. What a wonderful spot! Greg and Lori were great to work with and very focused on customer service and making sure everything was to our liking. Mahalo for writing a good review. Yes, we try to tell everyone to try and do water activities before 11 am as the trade winds normally are stronger then. I would have given this unit 4 stars, but my nightly rests were severely hampered by a very old and worn out king mattress that one might expect in a cheap 1 star motel.
