Two thumbs up!!! More if I had them. This was our first trip to Hawaii and we can't wait to come back to Kihei Sands. Management was so accommodating, helpful, and fun! We were overwhelmed with our "want to do" list but Connie was so helpful and on point with recommendations on the best beaches, hikes, restaurants, clothing stores, and attractions. She KNOWS Maui and not one of her suggestions disappointed.
This location was the perfect choice. I was the only early bird with our group and didn't want to wake anyone up with morning coffee noise (though I would have. I LOVE coffee!) But I didn't have to. I just walked down to the patio to freshly brewed coffee every morning to watch a beautiful sunrise. The patio was always a nice unwinding after our busy day, too. A lot of the guests would gather in the evening, prepare meals and eat outside, and we would all talk about the day's adventures and suggestions. It felt like home, but better. I appreciated the location and conveniences of neccessary shopping... more coffee! I loved that Sugar Beach Bake Shop was a short, beautiful walk down the beach and across the street. I'm still missing their Bee Nutz iced coffee. After my second coffee fix we loved walking around the rocks/pier while we enjoyed our pastries and the kids caught crabs. We even found a sea urchin lounging in the rocks. This was a good spot to whale watch, although I don't think there is a bad spot anywhere near the condos. We could look out our balcony window and see them at almost any given time.
The condo was well stocked, clean, and cozy. The beds were great, too. So comfortable that my husband and I realized it's definitely time to upgrade. I'm ready to plan my next trip and though I say I always need to try something new it's not going happen. Kihei Sands is the only way to go!
Mahalo from the Weske's! We can't wait to come back!

I love to beach walk and a nice beach And Views. Our unit was A 14 we booked it off VRBO. Beautiful unit well stocked. Nice little patio with a bit of Ocean view.
The beach is from the condo to the end of the beach and back to the Condo is six miles return.
We sat at night and watched the beautiful sunsets, and during the day we watched the whales hanging around . The beach area is really nice. Main reason, Maui wasn’t my favourite, was I never liked the beaches or lack of. I have a different outlook of Maui and can’t wait to go back.
We did a lot of different activities then we usually do on Maui . We always have to do the Road to Hana but we always go the full route, we don’t turn around at the 7 Sacred pools. This time , we had a Jeep and my husband loves the worst roads are what he loves, me not so much. The route has really deteriorated especially after the pools, cars were having a really tough time, with them, I highly suggest and even my husband said he wouldn’t go all the way around anymore the roads have really deteriorated, the Jeep we had was even tough on,. We also hiked at Haleakala, we did the Sliding Sands awesome hike, we had the most beautiful day, for weather and clear , we stayed and watched the sunset OMG it was beautiful. We also hiked Waihee Ridge, it is a good hike tough high vertical , could be slippery if rained . The Maui humane society has a volunteer program. To take the dogs out for the day. Sign up before you go, they only have so many dogs that can go out and certain days, we only found out when we were there. But definitely will do it on our visit back.

Excellent stay at Kihei sands! We had B14 which has a king and two twins beds for our teenagers. This was a gem to find! Absolutely loved the location.. on the beach and also a 10 minute walk on the beach to coffee shop, sugar beach bakery, general store and shave ice! Super clean condo with a kitchen, dining and 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. Our condo had snorkel equipment included and the building offered complimentary beach chairs, boogie boards and sand toys for use. Condo management was very outgoing and professional!! I can’t say enough about how much we loved our stay. We were close to activities but not in the middle of all the tourist bustle. Best location for enjoying your family and Maui. We will definitely be returning to Kihei Sands!

We stayed at Kihei Sands in A1 & absolutely loved the area. The lush greenery filled walkway to the beach area was my personal favorite. Complimentary sunscreen/tanning lotion was available for guests along with two large grills. Plenty of available seating on the beach area as well. Our host Kelly was extremely welcoming & friendly and we would for sure stay again.

Centrally located Kihei Sands Beachfront Condos is everything you could hope for when visiting Maui. Staff attends to every need with a friendly smile. Units are furnished tastefully, with fully - everything you could ask for - stocked kitchens. Sunset BBQ's with family at the beachfront community outdoor area are cherished memories. Thank you Patrick, Connie, Sarah & Bill for welcoming us like extended family!

+1
Sorry to say this condo complex is a dump. Aged, musty, unclean. The living room area fits four people, uncomfortably. The lanai or balcony fits three people, uncomfortably. Very outdated furnishings. Located right off the highway in an unattractive and undesirable part of town. The first thing we did when we walked in was immediately search somewhere else to stay, regardless of the money we would lose on this booking. The pool is ridiculously small and maybe fits four people at best. All the outside loungers are dirty. The complimentary beach chairs and water toys/snorkel equipment are worn and dirty. There is nothing that would bring me back here and I would never book here again. Don’t waste your money.

Response from Rental KiheiSands, General Manager at Kihei Sands Beachfront Condominiums

Aloha Miss Tracy. We wish we would have had the opportunity to hear any of your concerns before you unexpectedly left Kihei Sands. You did mention you were having trouble with a shower, which staff made sure was in working order and sent a video to you to confirm. Though we do have easy access off of Kihei Road, the main sound you’ll hear from the building and common areas, especially our oceanfront patio area, will be waves lapping on the beach! Your pictures include equipment that our kind guests have left for one another at the end of their vacation. We are a loving community where guests enjoy meeting new people and sharing with aloha. Based on our glowing reviews on our website, social media, and Tripadvisor, we are confident that guests find Kihei Sands to be clean, friendly, and a gem of a place to stay. It is unfortunate you did not stay long enough to experience and relax on our stunning grounds and in your lovely unit. We are not the best fit for everyone and we hope you had a pleasant Maui vacation no matter where you ended up staying.

I spent a lot of time researching where to stay before we arrived and could not have been happier with our choice. The location was wonderfully central to anything we wanted to do on the island. The condo was very clean and well appointed (beds were extremely comfortable) and the entire facility was clean and nice. My wife and I went with our adult and teenage children and there were times everyone wanted to do their own thing. Having a keypad entry was super convenient because we could all come and go as we pleased with without having to worry about who had keys, or leaving them on the beach, etc. One of the things I missed the most after coming home was waking up, going to the patio and enjoying the sunrise with a fresh coffee while the waves rolled in. The staff was accessible and responsive. My only caution is that if you’re coming here don’t rent an SUV or larger vehicle. The parking lot spots and in/out are very tight. We had a minivan which was ok but anything bigger would have been an issue. Overall, outstanding game experience. We can’t wait to come back to Maui and will absolutely stay here when we do.

First time to Hawaii was timed perfectly. 3 days after state opened with pretravel testing. Kihei Sands is perfectly located!!! We had balcony on the end(shown in the photo). Every morning picture perfect view, every night perfect sunset with the sound of ocean waves to fall asleep by. Management absolutely phenomenal (be sure to stop in and say Aloha to Connie) All the comforts of home inside the condo, as well as outside(pool, grill, laundry). Centrally located, 29 mins to the airport and shopping, 10 mins to tons of restaurants, shopping and touristy stuff, and 30-45 mins to historic sites and of course all of the beauty that is Maui!! Everyone was so friendly and because just opening up everything that was open was amazing. Connie and her staff will make your stay a special one!!! Can’t wait to go back.

This was our second visit to Maui in less than a year due to two family weddings. We enjoyed our previous stay at Kihei Sands and were delighted to be able to come back and stay again. Our stay in unit #B14 was superb. The accomodations were great and the beach was quiet and easy to stroll. The location is very good as it is central which makes for trips to Wailea, Kapalua or even Wailuku or Kihei very easy. The staff are great to deal with and make you feel like family when you are here.

We have stayed at Kihei Sands several times and have always been very happy with our experience. The resort is small, comfortable and a very relaxing place to enjoy your Maui adventures. The beach is steps away and it is the longest beach on Maui (six miles) and it is not crowded. Your children will love it along with the pool. You can spot turtles and whales swimming in the bay from the resorts patio.
All of the bottom floor condos have been remodeled with new furniture and appliances. All the condos are equipped with all the kitchen tools you may need to cook a gourmet meal and for those who like to BBQ they have BBQs on the patio for your barbecuing needs. Connie, Patrick, Sarah and Geo work hard to make sure your stay is memorable (in a good way). Bottom line is that we look forward to visiting again next year (not soon enough). Adventures are awaiting us.

Aloha! Our pool is not heated and we do not have a hot tub. That said, the ocean is only feet away and it stays around 79 to 80 F! Thanks for your interest in Kihei Sands~
There are several restaurants on the island that have vegan options. My favorite was Honu Seadfood and Pizza in Lahaina. I would dined here rather than Mama's Fish House for my big night out. Three's in Kihei has great options, including a big kale salad.
