This suite was bright, clean and comfortably furnished. I was with family who were staying at various other units and we all agree 9-202 was the most attractive.
Lots of sunlight both in the morning and in the evening. Nice big lanai. Comfortable bed. Big open area living room/dining room/kitchen.

I had difficulty turning on TV in living room.
The front desk sent someone to explain the fairly complicated instructions. It might be nice to have those instructions clearly printed out for other low tech guests.

Also as noted by previous guests: two of the elements (right side) on the stove were not working at all. The other two (left side) worked erratically; sometimes only the front one worked, sometimes only the back one. I didn’t try turning on the oven.
Luckily I wasn’t doing much cooking!

All other appliances worked well.

This recently renovated unit is great with a view of the ocean. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, well equipped and clean. There are no beach chairs, umbrella, beach mats etc. You need to rent these or try Rainbow Attic for second hand. New beds in each bedroom, and new sofa bed, washer and dryer. Walk in showers in both bathrooms, with no bathtubs. Internet is included. The pool area is clean and well cared for, but there is only one pool for a fairly large complex. You will not be disappointed.

We had a wonderful time in Maui with the Kamaole Sands are as home base. Many eating and shopping areas are within walking distance. Ocean right across the street, with a nice beach. Other beaches within 15 minutes. We really liked this area of Maui much more than Lahania. Would definitely stay again. There is a large pool, a couple hot tubs and lots of chairs. Wednesday night they even offer a Mai tai party. The condo had lots to offer, plenty of towels, washer/dryer, all the kitchen supplies you could need, and beach chairs to use. Just a really nice place in a great location. The ground are very nice also.

Booked a 15 night stay in Building 10, Room 213 (2nd floor) to be with the rest of our family in same place. Located right across the beach and close to Foodland and ABC food marts. The gym was outdated, but the pool and hot tubs were perfect in the afternoon when the winds pick up on the beach. There is a long beach walk close by and the two beaches that are near, feature huge sea turtles daily to swim near. Sunsets are to die for and the rooms are modern (w/air) and all the beach stuff a family needs: chairs, noodles, coolers, towels, snorkeling, boogie boards, etc. Can't wait to go back.

I can’t fault the unit we stayed in, or the location. But getting smacked with a $100+ ‘cleaning fee’ on arrival, for a one night stay was appalling. Had that been made clear during booking, this would not have been remotely value for money for us and we would have stayed elsewhere, especially for one night. I can’t remember the exact figure but it was upwards of $100 US. I think it and the resort fee came to $180 odd - yikes. Be aware.

Aloha Hoglet121 Can you share your confirmation print with me as it should clearly show what fee's are to be collected upon arrival. I agree that only one night plus fee's is a high cost in total. The value is there after a few nights. We hope you will come stay again for more than one night. I can be reached at KRasmussen@CastleResorts.com if you wish - Mahalo, Kaz

We booked that unit last May through HSI. We did not have the dirt or bug issues that others have noted. The unit does have some wear and tear issues (stained carpet, chipped tiles , roach traps etc) but other than that we... More
