We stayed only 2 nights, it was to stay longer. The super clean hotel, while the room is half a girl, had everything you need, minibar, coffee maker, microwave. Normal attention, offer beach towels, chairs, a complimentary breakfast not bad to start the day with coffee, yogurt, fruit, bread. The location we found comfortable despite being without a car, there is a bus that takes to Kihei where the shops and restaurants are and to Wailea, if you can not walk. The wifi failed occasionally. No resort fee. While the rate is expensive like all of Maui, within the economy that was in the area it complies very well.

Wyndham Maui Oceanfront (Kihei) is a great place to stay. Reasonably priced even for Maui. The beach is moderately expansive and made up of soothing sand that feels amazing underfoot. a few different rock formations scattered about both in and out of water. Waves are small and melodic. Water is clear. Occasional turtles in water, along shoreline. The property seemed to be very clean and well maintained. It does appear to have a restaraunt on site, but was not open during our stay. The property lies on the outer periphery of the commercialized segment of Kihei, but is not far enough that it would discourage anyone from walking to the nearby commercialized section of Kihei. Multiple public beaches are well within walking distance. Parking can be limited in main parking area, but with an overflow parking lot the size of a football field, I don't see a parking becoming that great fo an issue. Our room, although rather small, was meticulously clean and organized. Laundry center is 1 washer and 2 dryers. These are coin operated, and available for use from 1630hr unitl 0700hr. There are not a lot of amentities and condiments for sale in either the lobby or nearby. My recommendation would be, if you are looking for a place that is clean and tidy, and you don't mind spending time in small rooms, cause you don't get in all that much, and prefer to be out doing things. Or you just need a place to lay your head in-between activities elsewhere, this place is for you. I did not see nor inquire about a pool. But the ocean is truly spectacular.

overall, we were very satisfied with the say. The room was very comfortable, good size. We were in the "Maui" unit, upper level, which we really enjoyed because it was the closest to the beach. We really liked the availability of beach towels, we wished they had had some beach chairs. We also liked the morning free snacks and juices. they came very handy. Very good location on main street (South Kihei) Some reviewers said the room was very small, Well if you are used to "King" size bed, then it would feel small, but my wife & I sleep on a queen size, so we felt very comfortable. The bathroom is a little small, but we've been in several European trips/hotels which were much smaller.

If you're looking for deluxe accommodations, this is not the place. If you want a clean room with great value on one of Maui's best beaches, this is for you.

This is our fourth stay here, but our first time here in several years. The rooms are small, and for the most part have very limited views. But the staff is phenomenal, the rooms and the grounds are very clean. Most importantly, you are literally steps away from Keawakapu Beach.

Since we last stayed here, there have been some updates. Most of the units have updated AC, from noisy old wall units, to new mini split units that cool great without much noise. This is huge. Rooms include a refrigerator a microwave and a Keurig too. While wifi is weak, Verizon service is strong.

The rooms are small enough that if you have a lot of luggage, chairs, boogie boards etc, you're going to have to be creative to store it all.

Beach towels and breakfast snacks are provided in the office. They do have a limited supply of beach chairs available that essentially were left behind by previous guests. We were able to use two very nice Tommy Bahama chairs for the week.

There are some negatives to be aware of and this has nothing to do with the hotel management or owners. The 5 Palms restaurant next door is permanently closed and a replacement restaurant is one year out. Sarentos Restaurant has also permanently closed. Previously both offered early bird and happy hour dining that meant never getting in the car.

The 808 General Store at the Mana Kai next store has good lunch selections and limited breakfast options. You probably will need to drive for dinner options. Sarentos formerly shared the parking lot with the Days Inn. Now that they are closed, parking is much easier.

Lastly the outdoor showers near the beach are out of order. That made washing feet, sandals and water toys complicated. We used the private shower next door at the Mana Kai, but then you have to walk back through some mud. I believe that outdoor shower by the Days Inn actually is a part of the Maui County park.

The restaurants closed during covid and with staffing issues on the island, few are reopening. We have upgraded to the fastest internet offered on island and continue to search for better connections and services for your guests. Thank you for the feedback.

My family of four was sent here by Air Canada with a voucher because our flight was cancelled. After our taxi dropped us and all of our luggage off, the hotel manager informed us that we would have to purchase an additional room because they had no rooms with two beds. We have a travel crib for our 3 year old so we told them we could sleep in one bed (our other child is 6). But no, the manager insisted we had to purchase a second room, and told us we could only use the voucher for the first room. And actually made fun of us and asked “are you going to make your kids sleep on the floor?” Then they told us we could go back to the airport to get another voucher from Air Canada if we didn’t want to pay for the second room. Wow.

We were certainly not going to pay for a room in this hotel after being treated so horribly after an already brutal day. This was a clear cash grab, aimed at desperate, exhausted people. Do not waste your money here. Not only are these the type of people you’ll deal with but predictably, the hotel is not very nice looking at all. There are also no nearby restaurants.

There is a reason this hotel has availability when flights get cancelled.

I am sorry your experience here did not go well but I would like to respond. What you did not include in your statement was that the airline offered you 2 vouchers, for 2 rooms because we have 1 queen bed per room. You refused the second voucher at the airport. We offered you connecting rooms and did our best to contact the airline to get the second voucher for you. The manager on duty did reach out to me. We attempted to accommodate you but you called a cab and left. Had you stayed at our hotel you would have found small clean renovated rooms , steps from the ocean. We do our best to accommpdate distressed airline passengers and hold rooms for them daily. I am sorry your flight was cancelled and and that you and your family were put through the added stress of finding a hotel so late, but after reviewing the cameras and speaking to my staff, I believe the afore mentioned issues were the root cause the problem.

Days Inn Maui Oceanfront is literally a few steps away from a nice sandy beach. There are no restaurants in the premises nor are there any pools. The nearest strip mall is about 1.5 miles away.

The front desk staff members were not very accommodating. I tried to pay with a debit card but they refused to accept it. I asked for a late check out to wait for my shuttle to the airport and they charged me $50 plus taxes for 2-1/2 hours extra stay. I asked if I could store my one bag in the front desk area while waiting for the shuttle and they refused.

The rooms are clean. The cleaning staff do a good job. My TV was not working and it took until the next day to replace it. The room has a microwave and a small refrigerator.

The front desk provides a beach towel which has to be returned to avoid having to pay for it. There are no elevators for guests on the second floor so carrying a heavy bag up the stairs can be a challenge.

The beach was sandy and not good for snorkeling. There was no shower to rinse after the beach on the hotel property but the next door hotel has one that Days Inn guests could use.

I will probably book in a hotel in Lahaina next time because taxi fare from Days Inn to the Lahaina wharf cost me $80 while the whale watching tour was only $49.

The room cost me $207 per night. Very expensive. No coffee maker in the room and no ice tray. I wasn't very happy with my stay here.

Where to start...Our hotel does not take debit cards or cash. A major credit card is needed to check in. Our restaurant closed due to covid restrictions and new tenant will open in the next few months. At the hotel next door, the Five Palms Restaurant, offers our guests 20% off. They also have a deli, Zack's, that offers our guests 10% off. We are unable to hold luggage due to covid restrictions on the island and our limited space. There is a late check out fee for anything after 12pm. Coffee machines and ice are offered at the front desk, again due to covid restrictions on the island. We do have a shower for our guests and the public to use when leaving the beach. And yes we have a sandy beach. We are sorry that we did not meet your expectations.

If you do not mind the small size of the room, this is perhaps the best value for your money in Wailea-Kihei area. The Hotel is right on the beach. You walk out into the sand. Parking is free. The room has hand showers, microwave, fridge, etc. Location is very convenient, within striking distance of high-end restaurants, as well as not so high-end places.

Wonderful staff and beautiful property! The rooms are small but are recently remodeled, clean, and nicely appointed. The property is about a mile from Kihei proper, but only a 20-minute walk or $6 Uber ride away and the beach at the property is very nice. Internet was spotty during my stay, but the desk was comfortable to work at.

I was checked into room 120 at the days inn, Maui oceanfront on 2/2/24. When trying go to bed at night for an early flight the next morning, I kept getting woken because I was being bitten. It finally became so intolerable that I had to go to the front desk around 10:30pm and request to sleep in another room. I was told that there was no chance there were bed bugs but the next morning when I went back into room 120 to collect my belongings, I took pictures of what looked like bed bugs near the bed post. The front desk told me to follow up by email when i was checking out when i showed them pictures. I have emailed several times and NO RESPONSE. even if its not bed bugs, i would have appreciated some follow up or acknowledgement of inconvenience. i only got 4 hours of sleep since i had a 6 am flight next morning and had to check out very early.

I had a three week business trip to Maui and wanted a place that was reasonably priced but also more than just a hotel room. The Days Inn offered a suite with a kitchen that was perfect. It had a full sized refrigerator, stovetop and microwave along with a table for four. The living area was roomy with a separate bathroom that had a large shower. And you were steps away from a beautiful beach to watch incredible sunsets. They did not have a pool but who needs one when you have the beach? The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Highly recommend this hotel for comfort and value.

They advertise that they have roll-away beds and cribs available, so they probably only charge for adults in the room, not children (so "2" on your reservation means 2 adults and your child stays free).

Yes, 2 restaurants - Sorrentos "joined at the hip", buts up next to the 'oceanview' rooms, do not stay in these rooms. Like sitting in on a stranger's dinner. We will not stay there again. Other restaurant is 5 Palms 1/2 block next door. This hotel may be ok for 1 nite only. Tiny rooms, like a broom closet. Best points of this hotel...few steps to beach. For best breakfast, drive to Fred's.
