My family didn't stay here, but we stopped by on the way down from the Haleakala Crater. This is one of the most beautiful spots on Maui. The view alone is breathtaking, but the vegetation around this lodge is spectacular. I've never seen a succulent TREE! I recommend at least stopping by on your way back down from the crater....

My husband and I stopped in for breakfast after our sunrise on Mt Haleakala. We enjoyed delicious food, excellent service and outstanding views of Maui upcountry. We toured the gardens around the restaurant after our meal and they were beautiful...we will definitely visit again!

My cousin who lives in Kula had her wedding here, and there were only just enough rooms for her out of town guests. It's very pretty up there, but rustic. No TVs in rooms. Actually when we checked into our rooms around 8 pm (after flying in from Minnesota), it seemed all the lamps in our room (#4) didn't work....

DON'T STAY THERE!!! The rooms are INFESTED WITH TERMITES! The owners wouldn't give us any credit after the TERMITES STARTED SWARMING ALL OVER OUR ROOM. Even 2 of their employees told us that the owners know about it and don't seem to care. We pre-paid and now will contest it with VISA. This is a 1940s place that has not...

My husband and I stayed for two nights. We stayed in rooms 3 and 5 during our stay. Be prepared to unplug and get away from it all. Poor WiFi and no TV. It feels great! Lovely grounds, beautiful views, excellent access to the crater.

I loved this place! Beautiful grounds, with a fantastic view. The outdoors is terraced gardens with a lot of interesting brickwork, including a pizza oven. Outdoor seating with a view! There's also a really nice gift shop on the grounds. Inside is cozy, with a fireplace, the dining area is glassed in with that fabulous view of Maui. There's a...

We opted for a 2 night stay so we were in close proximity to Haleakala for sunrise, sunset and day trekking opportunities. Unfortunately the weather up top was not so accommodating which was the distinct opposite to our hosts at Kula Lodge. Our room was very comfortable and the restaurant meal quality was exceptional. We enjoyed 2 dinners, a lunch...

The Kula Lodge is perfectly situated in Upcountry not too far from Haleakala. We were there in January, and it was a bit nippy during our visit, so be prepared. We stayed two nights in Chalet #5, and found it to be charming. The bed was very comfortable, and it was clean and cozy. Definitely needed the de-humidifier, but we...

I've been here before, riding a bike down from Haleakala. This is the first time I came in a car. It is still a perfect place to come for their Eggs Benedict. I came around 10:30 & had to choose between their breakfast menu or wait awhile for their lunch. The Eggs Benedict did not disappoint...however, I took a look...

Fantastic place with a store and restaurant on site, as well as a killer view and garden! Our room was rustic, but very clean and perfect for the situation. The service was great and there is so much more than you expect, including a beautiful gallery. We had all of our meals in the restaurant, and loved the pizza made...
