The location is prime, the facility is old; and its greatest asset is its ability to let one step-back in time. Across one street from the wharf, and another street from the old Courthouse; it doesn't take too much imagination to see a harbor full of whaling & merchant ships and feel the ambiance of a bygone era. There are...

Stayed at the pioneer for 7 days and enjoyed ever minute of it. The hotel is a wonderful trip back in time, with the wooden porches and rocking chairs and all of the old features. I had read the reviews prior to our stay and thought it was a kind of 'marmite' experience of love or hate it, but I...

Historical Hotel on docks beside the Banyans trees and steps away from the sightseeing boats and shops that decorate Lahania. Be warned, no hotel shuttle. You must acquire your own transportation from OGG to hotel. Nice restaurant on site and great for breakfast.

Great setting on the harbor in the middle of lovely Lahaina. Everything you need is walking distance and we took advantage of it! One critique would be that there was no elevator and that could hamper ones ability to climb with physical disability and also if you have heavy luggage.

Nice location in Lahiana. Lovely, deep porch with rocking chairs for watching the tourists walk back and forth. No ocean view, but it's only a block away. The huge banyan tree is right next door. About a 45 minute drive from the main airport, mainly due to heavy traffic. The rooms are small, and we found it to be very...

We were very pleased with our overall stay at the Pioneer Inn - located near numerous restaurants, shopping and cocktails! We went on a catamaran for whale watching- numerous ships to choose from that also offer dinner cruises- located metres from the main entrance of the Pioneer Inn.

Stopped in this unassuming looking spot for breakfast. Given its location I expected HGH prices and mediocre food. I was wrong on both counts. Best breakfast I've had on Maui. Had a really good and fresh omelette.

Katherine at the front desk was awesome! Very outgoing and helpful. Fun location with rooms and balconies over Front Street for people watching. We were concerned rooms would be noisy but we turned on AC and slept fine. Only reason I didn't rate as 5 is rooms are small but as a historical hotel that is expected

If you really want an old rustic charm experience, then this is the place for you! We really loved the historical significance of this Inn. The staff is very friendly (few exceptions). You are within walking distance of everything you need. Also, location is great! If you require an elevator then this is not for you. However, if you truly...
