We stayed at the sheraton maui while on our honeymoon to Hawaii. We were upgraded at a small cost to building 6. I was a little worried as i read a lot of people complaining about how far walk building 6 was from the beach....More

It's beautiful there in May. Should be in the mid 80's (F) or around 28 (C) during the day. Just remember if you plan to visit Haleakala National Park for either sunrise or sunset (both magnificent) to take warm gear with you as once you are 10,000 feet up, it's really chilly. We always throw in a sweater, gloves and a hat for the volcano visits.
We just had an ocean view room in the middle of the resort opposite the pools and it was just a short 3 minute walk to the beach. There is a tower at the north end of the resort that I have seen many people posting about and liking (sorry, I am not sure what it is called) but those ocean view rooms would be a little closer to the ocean than where we were. Enjoy!
