It’s not a resort nor a hotel, they are just outdated apartments in a good location. The lobby is only open until 5pm , so if you arrive later good luck with finding the security guy to give you the keys. Front desk people are rude and not helpful. The ac can’t be regulated, you’re stuck with the temperature that they set. No maid service and the restaurant is pretty bad. There is no service of anything whatsoever , for the money to somewhere else , this again is just an apartment complex with a pool that’s it. S
We arrived sunday afternoon and we spend too much time in the registration because the miss that was there did not had idea about her job, he charge $75 and when I asked She just said "mmm I don't know... mmm oh registration fee"... I said thats incorrect because we were not notified about it... the change was charger two times and she had to call the manager who was not at the hotel, we had to wait for him and he explained us tha it was a "hold charge", we had to came back the next day and they did not resolved it yet, we talk with another person, She was really nice and resolutly... Also the first day we asked an ocean view room and she said no... and the other miss that resolved us the charge situation, offer us and ocean view room, we accepted it, the bad thing was to move everything but at the end we spent a very good time. The room is clean with a small exception, the fan are really dirty. The stuff in the room ia really complete and useful and the view is really awesome.…
We really loved the location- super close to Lahaina and right on a gorgeous more private beach. Price was also reasonable. Gazebo restaurant on site. Gorgeous beach. Great customer service! Take me back!
This was our 5th visit to Napili Shores and we intend to be back for more. It is the only place in Maui we would consider staying. Some rooms can be booked through Outrigger, but many are only available directly from the owners - usually through VRBO or Home Away. Over the years we have stayed in studio and 1 bedroom units, with either ocean-front, ocean-view, and Garden-view units. Because all are individually owned they each have their own character despite a common design and many common elements. Location matters when it comes to noise: garden view units have better access to the rear pool but also have the noise that accompanies it, depending on location the 1-bedroom units will have parking lot noise to contend with (the bedrooms are at the back), and the sound of the surf in the ocean front units (buildings 'A' and 'I') can be disconcerting if you are not prepared for it when the surf is high. All have full kitchens and bathrooms with showers, and the grounds are impeccable. The Gazebo restaurant and Kitchen 5315 are both onsite, as is the Waterworks store for rentals of snorkel gear and water toys. However, the proximity to both Napili and Kapalua beaches and honokena cove, and the more laid back atmosphere of west Maui makes this our go-to location. …
It was one of my most restful times on a vacation. I put a lot of thought in picking this location and it exceeded my expectations. First, it had a natural protective cove for snorkeling. Which was awesome for spoting local fish. Second, it had a beautiful view of the islands Launi and Moloki. Which in December is a good time to spot whales in between. When any were spotted we gleefully clanked a bell on site for just that purpose. Third, the site had a restaurant serving great food at reasonable prices and in the morning a little Tikki Hut made pancakes with macademia nuts in them. A final word of advice for those going to Hawaii in December. To get the most of the sunshine, get up early as the sun goes down around 6PM local time and there's really not much happening after dark in Maui.…
