I LOVE Napili Surf!! This is by the far the best place to stay in Maui.

I was so worried to travel during this time and Napili Surf eased all my concerns making this the best visit ever! I was working remotely during the week and the WiFi was seamless, never dropping once and never had any issues with the many zoom calls. Loved that there was an outlet on the lanai too so I could work outside.

Napili Surf has completely renovated rooms with FULL kitchens and all the cooking things you need. You can hear the ocean at night and love all the fresh herbs and produce on property. The staff is super friendly and treated us with fresh picked bananas and papayas! Everything is so clean inside the room and on the property. Every morning they clean the BBQs which is really nice and makes it so easy to cook outside. The beds are incredibly comfortable and slept great the entire trip! Even though I never had to use the AC I was glad to have the option. Instead I just opened the window to the fresh island breeze through out the day.

The west side is better than any other part of the island... relaxed, lots of dining, beaches to visit, and beautiful! I love seeing the other islands in the distance and Napili Bat is a dream come true. Perfect sandy bottom beach, so picturesque at night, especially when you are staying on the Napili Surf side. AMAZING sunsets!!! Love that you can walk to Kapalua and Oneloa bays, The Coastal Trail, plus the Sea House, Gazebo, and Sensei restaurants within walking distance are amazing. There is a decent grocery store too right up the road with great fresh fish plus the Napili Farmers Market is twice a week to get fresh veggies, hummus, baked bread, and more.

Hands down my favorite place to visit and would 100% recommend to all my friends and family. I can’t wait to stay there again!!!!

We had to reschedule our honeymoon at the last second because of COVID (literally three days before we left) and Napili Surf Beach Resort stood out as one of very few properties with rooms left at such short notice. While that would usually be a bad sign, I think we actually just got incredibly lucky that someone else perhaps cancelled because the room, location, property, and service were incredible. Parking is a breeze (something not always too easy in west Maui) and a beautiful, not too crowded beach is a literal 2 minute walk. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and quiet and included some comforts like a stove, full-size fridge, and dishwasher not often seen in a hotel room (not to mention the nice Weber grills available for use around the resort).

Napili surf beach resort is also located walking distance from honokeana bay, which has (in my opinion) some of the best snorkeling opportunities on the island to see turtles and is otherwise quite difficult to park at. The resort is also right next to an excellent breakfast spot, the gazebo, which should not be missed.

Despite its location on the north end of west Maui, the whole island is accessible by day trip, including the long and winding road to Hana. In sum, this is definitely a fantastic spot for a trip to Maui and you won’t regret choosing Napili Surf Beach Resort.

Somehow this cozy property which has everything you could want, makes you feel like a home away from home. Despite not having anyone in reception because of Covid, the rooms have been updated with keypads and you are sent the information and codes you need through email. The unit was adequately furnished and the kitchen had all the conveniences. They took extra steps to plastic wrap the utensils and some glassware. They have beach chairs, boogie boards, floats, umbrellas and noodles for use by the guests on the beach. They also have books in the laundry room for guest use. When they came to clean the room on the third day they were fast and thorough. Even though my birthday wasn’t until a couple days after we left Napili Surf, they had left me a birthday card, a box of candy and cookies and a small bottle of Prosecco. How very thoughtful.

We arrived the day the Hawaiian Governor asked tourists to stay away due to uptick of Covid. Needless to say, we were a bit nervous. Knowing all tourists have to either be vaccinated or Covid-19 negative, we knew we’d be fine. We bought groceries and BBQ’d ( bbq’s are cleaned daily ) and when we ate out we made sure we ate outside. Difficulty getting reservations at some places only because places are understaffed. We really feel like we were in Maui at the perfect time. Labor Day weekend was not crowded except for leaving at the airport which was so full/crowded. Not our flight but the agricultural inspection and TSA. It took almost an hour to get through TSA…not a very efficient system at OGG ( trying but they were OVERWHELMED to say the least ). Napili Surf Beach Resort had complimentary yoga outdoor classes which I loved. A Friday am complimentary breakfast and a Tuesday eve cocktail hour all lovely and staff is awesome. A particular shout out to Katrina as I spoke before we came with specific Covid protocol and then in person and she couldn’t have been nicer. The general manager, Tano Taitano was onsite and very present daily with his staff doing upkeep/maintenance of the property. They do an excellent job. The Aloha spirit is present throughout our stay. We had a lovely time snorkeling from a few steps out our room and loved the 10 days while on vacation.
Mahalo.

My boyfriend and I spent 4 nights in a lovely condo at this resort. No, we didn’t have an ocean view but that was okay (the price was a lot less). It’s a very short walk to the beach.

The condo is basically a one-room studio apartment that appears to have been recently remodeled. It was very clean and comfortable. The king size bed was wonderful! The bathroom was clean and modern. There were plenty of outlets for charging electronics. There is a/c but we opened all of the windows and let the constant breeze and ceiling fans keep the place cool. There were also plenty of books and games available for our use.

This resort is located in the midst of the tourist area. You are surrounded by other tourists and not local, native Hawaiians. There are nearby restaurants within walking distance if you want to eat out, just beware those may require reservations and can be expensive.

There’s off street parking but the spaces are very narrow, making it very difficult to get in/out of your rental car.

Just spent a wonderful week with the family at Napili Surf Beach Resort. The resort sits directly on Napili Bay. Our unit had a gorgeous view from the balcony. We enjoyed having coffee and many of our dinners there. The units, grounds, and pools are cute and clean with tasteful decor. Staff is friendly and responsive. There were sea turtles swimming and eating off the rocks in the bay each day we were there!

This is a low key spot to enjoy your Maui vacation. The location is great with quick access to other beaches and excursions. It's wonderful for families. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare many dinners at home. The common area has several high-quality sparkling clean grills to use. It feels like a community when you're there.

This is NOT a party resort. We were chatting by the grills a little too loudly one evening for a fellow guest. She came out in her robe and requested we take our gathering back to our room. At 9:45. (15 minutes before quiet time lol). To be fair, sound really travels on the property for some reason. Don't go here if you're looking to rage (or chat above a whisper at 9:30). It was a good fit for us, though. We appreciated the quiet and had a lovely time.

We loved our quaint modern condo in Napili Bay. It was super clean with great views of the beach and ocean. Napili Bay has a great beach with excellent snorkeling, as well as in all the surrounding bays.
They have a laundry room on site for guest use, which is handy for stays over a week.

Fantastic experience! This was my first time staying at this resort. My wife and her girlfriend had stayed in this resort way back in the 70’s. It has had a total facelift since. They closed for a year for complete renovations. The manager and staff were excellent. Loved the breakfast buffet on Friday mornings (we got to enjoy twice) and the Tuesday night mixer was fun in meeting other guests. We had booked suites so it had a kitchen which enabled us to save money by cooking our own dinners and eating out only when we felt like it. This is not a “all inclusive” resort. There were families w/kids, couples, retirees, some guests own their place. We found the price quite reasonable for what we were looking for. Ocean view was great every morning. I highly recommend this resort.

This was the perfect place for our family vacation. You feel like you are in your own little world. Wonderful beachfront access and views. The room was fully equipped so we could stay and cook or own food and never have to leave except for groceries. The staff were very friendly and it was clean and tidy place too. We will be back for sure!

This place is special, and quite frankly, magical. My family had the good fortune of staying 11 nights in the most amazing resort and truly enjoyed every single second. The staff is more than staff. They care so much about your experience and we left on a first name basis. The accommodations are perfect, especially for a busy family of 5. Roomy, well stocked, cleaned impeccably and they even went above and beyond to move us from room to room when we were gone on a trip that day. We grilled every night, we enjoyed their hospitality at both happy hour (best Mai tais we had on the island) and the beautiful authentic breakfast on Fridays. We joined their free yoga classes while watching a pod of dolphins. Our children had boogie boards and beach toys while we lounged in beach chairs, all free for our use. They roamed freely from beach to pool to room in a matter of steps. And then the wildlife: turtles all day, every day. Whale and dolphin sightings from the beach. And some of the absolute best snorkeling around (better then our snorkel cruise). I would stay here again and again and can only hope to make it back some day. Dream trip and this resort was a huge part of it. Hui hou!

I would say that you do need a car unless you plan on staying at the resort the entire time. We found that it was cheaper to rent a car then to pay round trip airport service since this is about an hour drive from airport.

We always get studio rooms that have a king or queen size bed but all rooms have a couch that opens into a bed. Each room is different so you can ask when you make your reservation.
